LIO NEEDS HELP IN CHICAGO!
The Chicago Tribune just dropped the LIO Sunday page, I so could use some help getting back in! If you are in the Chicago area or know people in the Chicago area, please write to the editor and ask them to reinstate LIO! I’m beggin ya! Editors listen to readers!
Email the editor at: ctc-editor@tribune.com Editors name, Gerould W. Kern
LIO sends much love in advance of this request! He told me so, albeit in a written note.
By the way, I don’t know if you guys noticed this…but every producrt that LIO uses is usually a 9000 series…whether it’s a laptop, a vacuum, or a squirtgun…which is a toss to the HAL 9000 in 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY.
MT: The folks at the Trib are so far to the right that they’re now calling the Pope a liberal. Good luck elsewhere, and be careful with that vacuum, in certain states you could get arrested.
I adore Lio and just loved seeing this! Mark, when they dropped Lio from the Seattle Times a few weeks ago, I begged and begged to have him returned. (Along with the NY Times Crossword Puzzle, which they did eventually reinstate after the Seattle P-I died.) I still have hope … but in the mean time I come here everyday to visit my little friend.

I think it’s great that you still support print newspapers and are a PRO here. Our rural area doesnt have a paper but if it did I’d subscribe, we need our newspapers. We’ll lose so much without the. Sure, it’s cool reading comics on the web, but so much better to be able to hold them in your hands and read the real thing. Way to go!
Why would anyone want to remove a comic like LIO that is refreshingly creative and embraces good relationships for the most part instead of destroying them. A good comic instead of the same ol’ hash with minor variations every day.

He looks like Caesar in the last panel. Caesar with a cowlick. Interesting–always the 9000 series, eh? S’like the piece of pie in Bizarro.
