Skip right to Easter…just like Thanksgiving gets run over by Greed-mas.

True, back in 1996 at the Dollar Tree store in my ex-home of Savannah, GA., just few days after the start of the new year, I saw Valentine’s Day cards and candy already on their shelves along side the remaining Christmas items.

most stores don’t have any place to store stuff and when it arrives, it has to go on the shelves. Thank our local governments for high taxes on warehouse space.

It’s interesting to learn what a powerful role the holidays play in our economy.

We need to come up with a few more real quick by the looks of it. (I’d like to see “Festivus Day” recognized) ;D

above is proof that Johnny Hart has died (and that his replacements have no clue)… I clicked on this strip first expecting to again see and feel something poignant about Lord Jesus… the joke above could’ve easily have been used elsewhere. Johnny Hart: your strip is no longer as it was under your care - you are sorely missed.

Looking thru the only BC comic book I own, BC Where the Hell is Heck? (a collection of comics from 1973) I find that this comic would fit right in. Although the book does not include sundays and goes from jan 18 thru oct 2, the good friday comic has peter running a bank and B.C. trying to get a loan as an oddsmaker, not overly good fridayish.

um, okay… perhaps I was thinking more of the Easter panels I have seen, then was hoping for one, today. Google, “johnny hart easter” and there will be found many samples and discussions both pro and con.

I was surprised by this strip but also rather pleased. I, for one, am relieved to see Hart’s intrusive religiosity gone from the strip.
