I’ve found that skunks can be reasoned with, once I caught one trying to find a way to tip over my garbage can; so I told it to go away, it stomped its feet at me and I said “I’m not going to shoot you, but someone will if you don’t move your furry butt!” And he actually waddled off! There’s nothing you can say to get rid of squirrels, though.

Once when I was young and drunk, I tried to catch a skunk for a pet.

Excuse me if this takes some of the hilarity away from the strip, but aren’t skunks actually part of the weasel/ferret clan rather than the rodentia group???…having said that I suppose that doesn’t mean they couldn’t strike up a deal with a bunch of revolutionary squirlly millitia types.

Absolutely classic BL, capping 7 CONSECUTIVE DAYS OF STRIPS! Corey, sorry for the previous prodding, but I knew you had it in ya, despite Saturday’s strip! :-)

Promise fulfilled…keep it up at whatever pace you can from here on–this is good stuff you’re kickin’ out here, the kind of stuff BL was built on.

The rodents has taken back suburbia.

I hope that’s a reference to the classic Peanuts strip with “The French have retaken Fort Zinderneuf”. That may be too obscure a reference for some, but we’re all comics fans here.

Except that us movie fans know that Schultz took that line from the classic “Beau Geste”.

Anyone notice that the catapult(skunkapult) is only attached to the trunk of ONE tree……..think about it!

    My mistake, too much Mahou.

@Pprey - look closely, there are two trees, each with a portion of the slingshot attached to them.

Or a forked tree, perhaps…hard to tell from that angle, but it could be a naturally formed sling-skunk.
