My little brother had a Billy and the Boingers World Tour T-shirt. Wish I had it now. Somewhere amongst my old things I still have an authentic B.T.C. embossed pin. I used to wear it as a neck brooch back when it was fashionable for guys in So. Cal to wear brooches and highly ornate bolo ties. Seems a bit embarrasing to admit that now for some reason. Interesting how this little strip – and this story arc in particular had so much to say about our collective views of the state of Rock back in 87’ – especially the thinly veiled reference to Clive Davis and Lionel Ritchie / Madonna, etc… It is evident that many of us here have a particular fondness for this strip and it’s stinging satire of 80’s excesses. Once a Boinger, always a Boinger!

Does that sign on the wall read “No Dying in Rooms”? If so, how are they going to get their hair the right colors for the show?
