Hi Doc I see your coffee reached Garfield today. Hee hee.
I wish my computer would learn to write what I want to say, no matter which key I push. I takes too long to go back and correct all the mistakes.

OH, CLEO!! TOO BAD, SOOOOO SAD!! Your Seattle Thunderbirds had the Portland Winterhawks down 3-1 in the third. We faced off with 2.6 seconds left & tied the game, went to OT and won in a shootout!! What a game!!!
The Big Top is empty. All of the clowns and party animals have gone away. Well, the naked juggler is here if anyone chooses to return from the Real World.

bmonk - I’ll miss your witty comments while you’re gone.
Carmy, Dry, Tabby & anyone else I missed - Good afternoon.
Tabby, all is well. How are you doing?
Hi Lonewolf and Rmom!Lonewolf, I know I’ve scarce here. I’m still on “light and limited,” I’ve been snoozing a lot. It’s getting better though.
so i got a new book yesterday and it upset my mother but its funny. it is called “how NOT to turn into your mother” its so good so far. lol my mom was upset. i dont see why
Terry the Bears were doing so bad, they switched to the Packer/Bucs game, and GB BLEW IT in the last couple of minutes! Oh (my two fingers rubbing together playing the smallest violin in the world, ( to quote my turd) my heart bleeds for you, Teddy boy!
Dry, don’t do the violin thing too much.
The man will roll in money with anyone as QB. GB is Football mecca just like the Bears! Teddy is not hurting, take it to the bank!
Carmy she then asked to read it…. her mom has been gone for about 4 months now…i think maybe 2 idk… and she wantes to read it. its a little late because she has so already turned in to her.
I like the idea of making American football teams like European soccer. Make them earn their right to be in the NFL. Teams each year have to prove that they are good enough to be in the top league. Secondary leagues will be in cities that do not presently have an NFL team. Each year the top teams of the secondary league move up to NFL status and the bottom teams of the NFL move down to the secondary level. It keeps the owners interested in putting out a good team that retains the value that he put into it, rather than him just sitting there allowing his team to flounder because he knows it will increase in value either way.
Terry, you’re too sweet!
Tabby, I don’t need the book, I have turned into my Mom. We have the same first name, so I think that had something to do with it, it was my destiny. Yeah, right!!
Things were differetnt back in the day, Cleo. Players played becasue they loved the sport, guys like Jim Taylor, Bart Starr, Gayle Sayers, etc. Now its about the bucks for most of them, and even more so for management! Hey if you’re rich enough to own a football team, baseball team, whatever, aren’t you rich enough already?
My mom really was a saint. She was just like her dad, not her mom. My mom’s dad is without a doubt, the most upright, honest and unblemished person that I have ever known in my life.
Terry, my mom was so well thought of by everyone who knew her, or even came across her path as a patient. She was kind, generous, saw the good in everyone. She would often say her best patients and most grateful over all the years she was in nursing, were the homosexuals and prostitues because she always treated them like equals. And they really appreciated that And they ALWAYS remembered her when they left the hospital. She would get flowers, candy, thank you cards, etc from them. And she never hesitated to give to those less fortunate even though we weren’t rich by any means. My parents were just common working folks
Even my siblings tell me I’m turning into Mom. Of course, since I’m the only parent out of us 5 kids, that makes it easier for me. I had to chuckle when reading my oldest brother’s memories of Mom. He claimed he had the personality closest to Mom’s - easy going, but with a spine of steel. Since his personality is rather similar to Rush Limbaugh’s, I don’t think it is anywhere close to my mom’s!
I do see some of Dad in me too, but I come closest to Mom. If someone says I’m like my Mom, I’d take that as a compliment.
My parents were both special too. They did everything possible to provide for me and to get me set off on the right foot. It is a day of reckoning when suddenly they are no longer there for you.
Thank you, Tabby! She was! A strong remarakble woman and given her and her siblings childhood, is amazing! Her, my uncle, and one aunt, left the baggage behind, the others didn’t! The bitterness rises up in them at times.
I posted this once before, I believe to Gweedo, funny story, and forgive me if you’ve seen it before. My mom was a very loving giving woman. But one night when she was working in ER, there was a small gun battle in my town over DRUGS, I was about 16 at the time. My doctor, who was also in the ER that night told me the story when I went for my checkup, and I asked Mom about it later. True story. In this day and age she would have been fired for this but the ER staff that night just howled over it! The story went all over the hospital and Mom was a hero! They knew Mom had Hutzpah!
One of the drug dealers came into the ER with a flesh wound in his arm. He was wailing and crying and kept telling Mom he was going to die. She told him, Son, you have a flesh wound in your arm. You aren’t going to die! Don’t worry, only the good die young!
My mother raised 3 of us on her own for 10 years. No matter what came along in the way of relationships for her, her children always came first. In some respects we all have a lot to be thankfull for!
you all have lovely stories. DRY your mom must have been a character, like you. very funny. i wouldnt have thought of that. i would have just punched him. lol
Sometimes I laugh when people say we look like our parents. Who they expect us to look like? And the funny thing is that sometimes people say my sister really looks like my mom, but I don’t (they don’t know I look like my dad of course). My sister isn’t a biological daughter (I am), so go figure. She laughs over it too.
It’s not true that we have to be carbon copies of our parents. If we are raised well, we will be who we are on our own, and any resemblance to our parents good or bad is our choice. They would want it that way, I hope.
The one thing that I was able to do for my folks, to help pay them back for all that they did for me, was to allow them to stay home when they were ill. Fortunately, I had a job that allowed me to take care of my parents in their own home.
Judging how I feel about you members of the tribe, I think your parents did a pretty good job of raising you all. I feel I have met a pretty special group of people.
That’s great cleo! Not many sons can say that. Sometimes it seems that it is the daughters who take mom and dad in, or look after them. You are one special guy.
Not to “dis” any men here. I think we have exceptionally great guys in the tribe, but many RL men I know aren’t like you guys.
Hey carmy I didn’t mean to ignore you girlfriend. How are you? We’ve been crossing like ships in the dark.
And I have to leave again. I have so much to do, I don’t know where to start.
That’s why I started with BT. It’s way more fun here than RL! Would you say I’m a procrastinator? Let me sleep on it and I’ll tell you what I think tomorrow!

i decied not to do the dishes there are very few of them so i just fixed the coffee pot for dad so all he has to do is turn it on in the morning. i just dont feel like washing dishes tonight. so im back also.
Tabby, did you know that they special dental items for people with braces? I got my girls floss and some weird toothbrushes. The brushes on the toothbrushes are replaceable.
Carmy ship me some? lol they dont have cool things like that here, if so i cant find them. i got some cool little brush things when i first went to get the braces and i cant find them anywhears the nurses there wont give me more then one at a time… you need more then one bc the way these wires go its hard to use anything. i got a water pick and it helps some. my secret wepon is a tooth brush that im not supposed to use. one of the electirc ones. :D they work great. but hurt so you have to be careful
Carmy we shall talk about that later.. k? it is now 9:30 and i need to get to bed my eyes are rolling back into my head. i love you all. you are all great. love to the tribe. see you tomorrow sometime maybe in class. :D
Oh good lord, was that funny or what? And what about George’s wallet, remember that one? ROFCALMAO thinking about that one! And the “shrinkage” episode!!!
I was just talking about Festivus the other day. George’s mom and dad were hilarious!
I used to watch Taxi too, I don’t remember the license episode either.
And for JFri, do you remember when Latka (Andy Kaufman) became Vic Ferrari? And when Rev Jim the Psychic predicted Alex’s future? Nad let’s not forget Louie Depalma (Danny DeVito)
I know there were a lot of funny episodes of Taxi, I just can’t remember them. I remember when “Nardo” caught “Louie” spying on her and she was going to sue him.
I forget a lot of the Taxi episodes, too! Before my time, LOL!! Just too long ago and they don’t repeat them here. But I could tell you every “I Love Lucy” episode ever made!
I can’t remember too many I Love Lucy’s but I do remember that they were hilarious. I remember hearing Desi laughing offset often while Lucy was doing her thing.
I’ll have to check for Rev. Jim on youtube tomorrow. I’m too sleepy now.
Just found the one about Jim the Psychic but then it clicked back to the first one. I’ll check that out tmr. or later on. That was pretty good too!
I have a workbench to relcaim and pretty soon stuff is going to go flying in the trash, and the devil be damned!
Oh yeah, that was funny! I remember that episode now.
Thanks Dry!
I guess I better go to bed. I have a doctor appt to get to after I get all the girls in school.

Let’s see if this works…
BOOKER’Stabbylynn about 15 years ago
Carmy im okay.
i need to go to bed early tonight…
so i got a new book yesterday and it upset my mother but its funny. it is called “how NOT to turn into your mother” its so good so far. lol my mom was upset. i dont see why
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
Terry the Bears were doing so bad, they switched to the Packer/Bucs game, and GB BLEW IT in the last couple of minutes! Oh (my two fingers rubbing together playing the smallest violin in the world, ( to quote my turd) my heart bleeds for you, Teddy boy!
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
Good one Tabby!
carmy about 15 years ago
I’ve been missing all you yappy nuts too!!
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
Dry she was quite upset…. it states on the 1st page…. “you know you love your mother we all do but we just dont want to be like them.” so true
COWBOY7 about 15 years ago
Dry, don’t do the violin thing too much. The man will roll in money with anyone as QB. GB is Football mecca just like the Bears! Teddy is not hurting, take it to the bank!
carmy about 15 years ago
Tabby, tsk tsk, you insulted your mom. It is funny though!!
COWBOY7 about 15 years ago
Carmy, I’m glad you are getting rest. Imiss you here very much!
(((((((CARMY)))))))
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
Carmy she then asked to read it…. her mom has been gone for about 4 months now…i think maybe 2 idk… and she wantes to read it. its a little late because she has so already turned in to her.
cleokaya about 15 years ago
I like the idea of making American football teams like European soccer. Make them earn their right to be in the NFL. Teams each year have to prove that they are good enough to be in the top league. Secondary leagues will be in cities that do not presently have an NFL team. Each year the top teams of the secondary league move up to NFL status and the bottom teams of the NFL move down to the secondary level. It keeps the owners interested in putting out a good team that retains the value that he put into it, rather than him just sitting there allowing his team to flounder because he knows it will increase in value either way.
carmy about 15 years ago
Terry, you’re too sweet! Tabby, I don’t need the book, I have turned into my Mom. We have the same first name, so I think that had something to do with it, it was my destiny. Yeah, right!!
carmy about 15 years ago
I’m going to try eat some supper. BBL!
Smiley Rmom about 15 years ago
I know I’ve turned into my mom in a lot of ways. Unfortunately, many of them I’m reminded of when I look in a mirror. LOL!
cleokaya about 15 years ago
I notice both my mom and dad in myself.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
Things were differetnt back in the day, Cleo. Players played becasue they loved the sport, guys like Jim Taylor, Bart Starr, Gayle Sayers, etc. Now its about the bucks for most of them, and even more so for management! Hey if you’re rich enough to own a football team, baseball team, whatever, aren’t you rich enough already?
COWBOY7 about 15 years ago
I have a lot of my mother’s traits(survival & won’t quit) and from what I hear my father’s boldness and German/Irish temper! What a combo! LOL
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
I would be MORE THAN PROUD to turn into my mom, but I haven’t quite made it there yet! But I’m trying!
COWBOY7 about 15 years ago
Dry, you said it ALL right there!
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
DRY aww…. see i want to here my kid say that one day. sniff
cleokaya about 15 years ago
Make the owners work.
cleokaya about 15 years ago
My mom really was a saint. She was just like her dad, not her mom. My mom’s dad is without a doubt, the most upright, honest and unblemished person that I have ever known in my life.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
Terry, my mom was so well thought of by everyone who knew her, or even came across her path as a patient. She was kind, generous, saw the good in everyone. She would often say her best patients and most grateful over all the years she was in nursing, were the homosexuals and prostitues because she always treated them like equals. And they really appreciated that And they ALWAYS remembered her when they left the hospital. She would get flowers, candy, thank you cards, etc from them. And she never hesitated to give to those less fortunate even though we weren’t rich by any means. My parents were just common working folks
Sorry for the long post, I had to say it!
Smiley Rmom about 15 years ago
Even my siblings tell me I’m turning into Mom. Of course, since I’m the only parent out of us 5 kids, that makes it easier for me. I had to chuckle when reading my oldest brother’s memories of Mom. He claimed he had the personality closest to Mom’s - easy going, but with a spine of steel. Since his personality is rather similar to Rush Limbaugh’s, I don’t think it is anywhere close to my mom’s! I do see some of Dad in me too, but I come closest to Mom. If someone says I’m like my Mom, I’d take that as a compliment.
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
DRY that is nice, you just have to treat people like they are people. I bet your mom was a wonderful person.
cleokaya about 15 years ago
My parents were both special too. They did everything possible to provide for me and to get me set off on the right foot. It is a day of reckoning when suddenly they are no longer there for you.
COWBOY7 about 15 years ago
Dry& Rmom, both your posts are very nice and as Tabby stated: you just have to treat people like they are people! Very wise!
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
im going to run and take a shower now ill try to be back later on. peace and love tribe.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
Thank you, Tabby! She was! A strong remarakble woman and given her and her siblings childhood, is amazing! Her, my uncle, and one aunt, left the baggage behind, the others didn’t! The bitterness rises up in them at times.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
COWBOY7 about 15 years ago
My mother raised 3 of us on her own for 10 years. No matter what came along in the way of relationships for her, her children always came first. In some respects we all have a lot to be thankfull for!
cleokaya about 15 years ago
What do you know the Seahawks won a game and against such a stellar team too. snerk
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
you all have lovely stories. DRY your mom must have been a character, like you. very funny. i wouldnt have thought of that. i would have just punched him. lol
time to eat now.
COWBOY7 about 15 years ago
Cleo, how about that? Will wonders never cease? LOL
Shikamoo Premium Member about 15 years ago
Hi guys!
Good luck Doc I think that your mom will be proud of you and wildcheetah. You are wise taking it slow- it”s bound to last if you take the time now.
RRAmom and Dry It is heart-warming to hear stories about wonderful moms. Those who have inspiring mothers are blessed.
Shikamoo Premium Member about 15 years ago
I think I’m like both my mom and dad. It’s a good thing too. I could have been more like the milkman, if we had one!
cleokaya about 15 years ago
It is nice when one has nice moms and dads. it at least sets an example that we can choose to follow, or not.
Shikamoo Premium Member about 15 years ago
Sometimes I laugh when people say we look like our parents. Who they expect us to look like? And the funny thing is that sometimes people say my sister really looks like my mom, but I don’t (they don’t know I look like my dad of course). My sister isn’t a biological daughter (I am), so go figure. She laughs over it too.
COWBOY7 about 15 years ago
Hello Shika
Shikamoo Premium Member about 15 years ago
It’s not true that we have to be carbon copies of our parents. If we are raised well, we will be who we are on our own, and any resemblance to our parents good or bad is our choice. They would want it that way, I hope.
cleokaya about 15 years ago
The one thing that I was able to do for my folks, to help pay them back for all that they did for me, was to allow them to stay home when they were ill. Fortunately, I had a job that allowed me to take care of my parents in their own home.
COWBOY7 about 15 years ago
So true Cleo!
Shikamoo Premium Member about 15 years ago
Hi Tabby. sorry you had a rough weekend. I would have hidden that book if I were you. I think she doesn’t see the funny side of it, that’s for sure.
Some days I feel I’ve turned into my mom. Some days I turn into my dad. It gets confusing! LOL
cleokaya about 15 years ago
Judging how I feel about you members of the tribe, I think your parents did a pretty good job of raising you all. I feel I have met a pretty special group of people.
Shikamoo Premium Member about 15 years ago
That’s great cleo! Not many sons can say that. Sometimes it seems that it is the daughters who take mom and dad in, or look after them. You are one special guy.
Not to “dis” any men here. I think we have exceptionally great guys in the tribe, but many RL men I know aren’t like you guys.
Shikamoo Premium Member about 15 years ago
LOL cleo Look at my post. I think we agree!
cleokaya about 15 years ago
Shika - Yup.
Shikamoo Premium Member about 15 years ago
Hey carmy I didn’t mean to ignore you girlfriend. How are you? We’ve been crossing like ships in the dark.
And I have to leave again. I have so much to do, I don’t know where to start.
That’s why I started with BT. It’s way more fun here than RL! Would you say I’m a procrastinator? Let me sleep on it and I’ll tell you what I think tomorrow!
COWBOY7 about 15 years ago
I am outta here early again tonight.
Good Night All

carmy about 15 years ago
Cleo, I agree with what you said earlier. Especially that we have a pretty special group here. :)
cleokaya about 15 years ago
Carmy - Yes we do. I never thought that I would become close to a bunch of people that I have never met.
carmy about 15 years ago

How about when Reverend Jim got his driver’s license on Taxi??
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
Hey JFri! I remember Reverend Jim and Taxi, loved it, but I don’t remember that one!
carmy about 15 years ago
I was just talking about Festivus the other day. George’s mom and dad were hilarious! I used to watch Taxi too, I don’t remember the license episode either.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
Two words: SOUP NAZI!
carmy about 15 years ago
Dry, I remember the wallet and shrinkage too! Do you remember “Mulva?”
carmy about 15 years ago

Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
And for JFri, do you remember when Latka (Andy Kaufman) became Vic Ferrari? And when Rev Jim the Psychic predicted Alex’s future? Nad let’s not forget Louie Depalma (Danny DeVito)

LOLS Dry!
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
Who won that one? I couldn’t watch it all.
carmy about 15 years ago
I know there were a lot of funny episodes of Taxi, I just can’t remember them. I remember when “Nardo” caught “Louie” spying on her and she was going to sue him.
carmy about 15 years ago
Dallas won 20-16.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
Poop! Haven’t been a Dallas fan since Jerry Jones bought the team! And believe me, I was a die hard fan, just like with the Pack and Brett!
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
I forget a lot of the Taxi episodes, too! Before my time, LOL!! Just too long ago and they don’t repeat them here. But I could tell you every “I Love Lucy” episode ever made!
The Duke 1 about 15 years ago

I think that is one of THE funniest bits ever done on TV! Rain took a bit of a break today. Spent the day reclaiming my workbench & garage.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
Just found the one about Jim the Psychic but then it clicked back to the first one. I’ll check that out tmr. or later on. That was pretty good too! I have a workbench to relcaim and pretty soon stuff is going to go flying in the trash, and the devil be damned!
