I found some turkey caccitori in the freezer. Have added diced tomatos, onions and tomato paste, a little more spicing and slow simmering. It and the rice will be ready about 4pm EST. Enjoy.

I’m back to cleaning. Got the pest people coming in tomorrow. I HATE strangers in my space when I’m not here, but it’s part of apartment life. The last outfit was canned in September….about time, too, their disclaimer about the bait ‘flushing’ out the roaches so you’ll be seeing activity is a bunch of bulls–t* in my humble opinion. Also I don’t have a Martha Stewart place, we’re rather eccentric, my spouse and I. As long as it is clean LEAVE ME ALONE. It’s my lifestyle and I pay many $$$ to be live in peace. I figure as long as my place doesn’t look like one of those houses in ‘How Clean is your House’ on BBC America they’ve got no cause to gripe.

Whoa, what a rant. It’s a sore point. Oh well, time to wander off and clean a bit more.

Oh yes, ND falls and winters. I remember a house I lived at in Walhalla, one of those old, tall two story places. When it snowed and the wind blew I could step out my upstairs hall window and slide down to the ground.

Mostly we don’t get snow like that here–only about 10-20 inches of moisture annually. And the winds make for nice drifts, but not that tall.

But it is funny to see snow going by horizontally…

Well, I feel an urgent need to examine the insides of my eyelids for a while…

things have changed a lot since I was a kid as well. They actually pave roads now. LOL

Everything changes from your childhood. No escaping that.

Cleo hasn’t changed: he was a little nudist as a three-year-old, and he still is! LOL!

…and sometimes those changes are for the better. Personally, I can’t say that for the arthritis, hea….never mind. We’re as young as we feel, right? I said, RIGHT!?!

Cleo that’s the great thing about pets! They love you no matter what! I always had dogs and cats until 2 years ago, now I have cats, and they are quite delightful critters, one is so loving you’d think she was a dog, one is warming up and starting to sit with me, and Bella, well she’s retarded (LOL) but they are such a hoot! When they play together, you’d swear the house was falling down, they bound up and down the stairs like furniture movers with the noise they make! All 3 are rescues, and 2 of them have such a sad tale.

Back to the salmon story - the salmon run is really low this year - rarely see them and the run was a month later than normal! Watch for much higher prices! ouch!

Howdy Dawn. MY wife’s kids did well fishing for salmon this year.

Terry LOL it dosent take much to be better then yesterday. it was not great but it was better. my children in childrens church did great today and my little Ana sang her heart out. she was so good. so they made it better. saw walking buddy that helped also. but that was all the highlights of the day.

oh and on FaceBook i have some friends of mine that we are all saying what we are thankful for each day up to thanks giving. its a good idea. it makes u relize what you have and it gets harder each day. but i love doing this.

Somebody must have cooked fish wrong when I was a child. I have never liked fish or seafood for as long as I can remember. I’ll eat tuna from a can(tuna mac). I tried lobster 3 or 4 years ago. It was OK, but nothing special to me.

Terry My sister says she hates fish becasue of the way it was cooked when we were growing up. But I love it. I’m not crazy about seafood though, except once in a while. But fresh fish, baked or fried- yum!

I love a good feed of halibut of haddock fish and chips, English style, with malt vinegar and salt and some lemon.

Darn. Now I’m hungry again. good thing I just cooked something.

Its been awhile since I saw that movie, always one of my favorites, but I forgot how good it was!

No, I’ve been going to hockey games all my life. I have learned to keep an eye on the puck at all times!! I once sat behind two gossiping doofuses with “Buckets of Beer”. I was trying to let them know a puck was incoming but no luck. The puck wound up in one of their beers! The really weird part? He finished the beer! EEEEWWWWWWWWW
