Gruel, with turbinado sugar
Eggs any way you like
Cold pizza with everything
English muffins, rye toast, whole wheat toast, or white toast
Pork chops
Breakfast steak
Grits
Belgian waffles and silver dollar pancakes
Home fries with onion and green pepper
Breakfast tacos
Nuclear coffee, Mochacocoa, and assorted teas.
Oh goodie, you got the breakfast menu, Marg, I was going to make a grab for Pete’s poptart.
Hm, I’ll have the breakfast steak and some home fries.
Thanks Marg!
Happy Birthday (((((((((((((Lonewolf)))))))))))) and I hope you have many more to go with it.
Marg breakfast sounds good. May I have scrambled eggs with onion, a pork chop, home fries and rye toast please? I would like to add sliced melon and various fruit juices if I may.
Doc, I have all kinds of “wolf” t-shirts, many “cowboy” t-shirts & military t-shirts. But I don’t have a Tarantula t-shirt. Sounds cool! Thank you sir!
Yes, I saw that last night Doc. I don’t need to worry about that though as you usually keep them occupied. And I stay fairly inconspicuous most og the time anyhow!
9CWL is one of the strips I wish was on this site. It would be nice if all the comics I like would be here. It would save time when I have to rush my reading.
Doc, so far I’ve awoke to a phone call from my younger sister singing Happy Birthday(my other sister would to do that every year ) at 5:30 this morning, my mother calling at 6:00, and even the kids up by 6:30 to wish me a Happy Birthday! Not bad so far.
Good Morning all. Marg, I am sending my gopher over to pick up pork chops, eggs over medium, home fries and an English muffin with marmalade. He says thank you.
okay will not be on today, i have a lot to do and its raining, bummmer. going see my Godchild today and play the rushing game and be extra careful bc its raining. so out i go peace and love all
Cleo, no big plans. Wolfangil & I are going to a an old town called Sandwich, IL. She likes to look at all the antique stores and such, so we’ll do that this weekend. And the owner of the bar we shoot pool at this Saturday will have a party. Not much else.
It never fails to amaze me how some people can state how religious they are and preach their religion and then turn around and treat other human beings so poorly. With some people forgiveness must be only be for those who do no wrong. Unbelievable. It’s a good thing laughter is an outlet for me.
Sorry about the people who “don’t get” forgiveness or religion. There are people who just don’t make that connection nohow. I always laugh at people who only forgive the perfect–or conversely, who think that you must be perfect to be in a church or have faith. They were made, not for the perfect, but for sinners!
I hate that when it happens–a car is totaled without being in an accident. Although I used to drive a car that filling the tank cost more than it was worth…
Condolences, Dry. I’d offer a gift, but only good thoughts.
Dry
How many miles on that 99 Chevy? The only time the value of the vehicle should figure into the cost of repairs is if you are selling it when it’s fixed. You do know the history of that vehicle and sometimes it is more beneficial to repair the old car. But if the cost is more that what it will cost to buy another used car, than get another car.
If a new vehicle costs 3000.00 or more and the repair is say 1700.00, I may want to save the 1300.00 plus for a later date. Chevrolets in that era (late 90’s) are usually good for 175-200,000 miles. That was the point I was trying to make.
But, like one customer told me one time, “I’m tired of this car and now I have a reason to buy another one”!
I have an 89 Olds with 196,000 on it and a 94 Buick with 173,000 on it. Intake gaskets on the Buick and Timing Chain on the Olds. The rest just normal brakes, starters etc!
Happy Birthday Lonewolf - Let’s see about the gift - my daughter watches this chow called iCarly, where they mentioned a guy named Socko that makes weird socks, so I got a pair from him: Candy stipe red & white with battery operated green LED accents.
Dry - I’m likely going to be looking at the same kind of problem. My sons got rear-ended in our old ‘88 Camry, my bet is the insurance guys are going to say the repairs are more than the book value which will likely be less than the car was worth to us :(
Anybody got any special New Year’s Eve plans? So far, we are having a quite evening. Just the two of us, some wine and lamb shanks with a bottle of nice champagne for later. Last year we had 3 other couples and I made Beef Wellington, which was great, but something that I will never do again. Way to much work. But everyone spent the night as it snowed so much that I didn’t want anyone out driving in the stuff.
Nothing particularly special for me–getting up at (or, preferably, before) 6 a.m. every day kinda makes staying up to midnight to watch a clock turn over sort of passé.
Cleo, we stay home for New Years Eve. It’s fun with the kids and people calling fo a good hour afterwards. We have snacks and all and several people end up spending it with us every year. I had a close friend killed on New Years Eve so I don’t like going out driving that night.
Just a quick pass through to wish everyone a Happy New Year. For all the people who are driving or flying somewhere for the day, please be very careful and have a good time.
Here Briefly. Terry, I’m glad that you had a good day.
:-D We are staying home, too. We’ll have lobster tails and steaks for dinner, then about midnight the town is going to shoot of a few fireworks, so we’ll stick our heads out the back door and see if we can spot them.
Terry, glad your day went well.
We will probably go to bed around eleven as usual. New Years has been pretty quiet for us for many years now although our kids still celebrate it.
