45 in your neck of the woods JFri? Is it clear? We were that warm yesterday, but today it cleared up and it is 32 out.

It’s pretty much random–all I can see is light gray sky and light gray snow…

I just spent an hour and a half fighting with a copier whose stapler didn’t work and the feed kept jamming. I was running off 10 copies each of 35 resumes’ for one position opening. Have to give everyone a fair chance, but about 10 of them already are done because they want too much money!

What’s interesting about my driveway is how they managed to paint every rock differently. It makes quite a statement coming up the hill to the house. Then you notice that you have suddenly entered into The Twilight Zone. I’m thinking of offering tours.

so my hands look kind of like This just not old like. lol the rash is what they look like up to almost my elbo and boy does it burn!

So i am supposed to do this to help it. well it is impossible bc id does not work. grrr. and some lotions or creams make it worse. they should tell you what kind of cream or lotion. its called winter eczema.

Wear gloves when washing dishes or submerging your hands in hot water. Winter eczema on the hands looks like red splotches and itches when soaked in hot water. Keep a moisturizing hand cream on at all times during the winter

Tabby have you tried Curel lotion for dy skin? it works for me and comes in a blue bottle. Around here it costs about $4.50. Also, what about using vaseline. Rub it on your hands and wear clean gloves or socks on your hands when you go to bed and leave them on all night..

the vaseline does not help, i have not heard of curel lotion, i dont think im using some “Kick A$$” lotion from walking Buddy right now. it works but i am always in water or doing something so its crazy. but they are ugly right now.

Well, I would take myself to a nice restaurant, go to a play, musical, ballet, or symphony, then go to a piano bar, have some liquer and unwind, then take a taxi home. I did this for many years, between 1980-84, 1985-19987, and 1991-2002. I was learning to like me and be okay alone.

You care about kids too much not to be involved with them. As a novel I’m reading says, “Raising kids is simple. Difficult, but simple. You just love them more than light, water, or air.”

Now you have to decide how you want to be involved with them. Mother, Teacher, Day care, somehow else, such as Nurse? Doctor? Psychologist? Up to you–those are just what come to my mind…

In any case, your current experience can be very valuable in the future. You might want to consider a journal of some sort–so you can reflect on your difficulties and learn from them. Like learning, “i have had enough to know that my children best behave when i have them or they are going live with someone else.” Or, put better: the value of good discipline, even when it’s hard, and forming them properly.

Bottom line: you care too much about kids to not be involved with them–they need what you have to offer in so many ways. And so do you.

The tribal sage (?) has spoken–I forget my exact once-upon-a-time title–does anybody happen to have a list? I remember DocT was Tribal Shaman…

I think we covered that in Christian Anthropology–Professor Carl Peters, if I recall. An excellent course. I had him in the late ’80s, and much of the course was on the views of the human person in Poland, especially the Communist/Catholic dialogue there–which proved prophetic over the next few years.

JFrisch - I’m not really a Doctor, I just play one in the comics. Now if you were a toon I could treat you, but the laws of biology and physics work a little differently in the real world. Dry - The tribe was at BT when I found y’all. I know that Akenta, johnny, carmy and marg, were part of the original group, but for some reason I never wrote down their titles. Could be that I didn’t start taking notes immediately, or their titles weren’t mentioned when I did.

It’s also possible they didn’t pick “official” titles. I’ve noted on the rare occasion that we are not precisely the most organized group going. There is a certain, umm, care-free insouciance and, errr, chaos about the Tribe.

Bmonk that mother thing…. ill train for it but its not gonna happen till im done school and in my carer. whatever the chose is at the time.
