WHOA! Doc made breakfast! Wait a minute, he doesn’t know how to use that big white box with the knobs that sits in his kitchen! It must all be frozen stuff! Oh well, I’m hungry! I’ll give his cooking a whirl! I’ll have the hash browns, sausage links, scrambled eggs, and of COURSE the NUCLEAR COFFEE! I’ll need it for tmr. morning since I should have been in bed and asleep two hours ago! THANKS DOC!

Carmy, I tried shaving a few years ago when I thought heck, I am going bald why not just embrace the idea and shave it all off. I looked like the back end of a plucked chicken. I finally had it grown back and decided that my wife should cut my hair. She did a really good job. I was inspecting the results and noticed a hair that needed trimming on the top of my head and told her about it so she grabbed the electric trimmer and made a pass over the top of my head, having forgotten to put the guard back onto the razor. The guard allowed her to cut my hair to a uniform height. Suddenly, she has this look of alarm on her face and I realize that she has shaved a patch right down the center of my head. Then she has the nerve to say “You know, it doesn’t look bad.” Picture a reverse mohawk. LOL

Edit: at least you don’t have to look at your own head very often. Except in mirrors. And not much then, if you are bald…

I’m pretty good, but it could be like the old prayer:

“O God, I’ve been pretty good so far today. I haven’t been angry at anyone, or cheated on my diet. I haven’t been tempted to cut people off or insult them…. [and so on]

“But I’m getting up in a few moments, and I might need more help after that, God.”

*Cleo, got a great story about my Geometry class, but it’s too long to post here! Well, I think it’s great anyway. Makes me laugh now when I think about it, but myself and 3 of my friends got a couple of days of detention after school for it! Our parents WERE NOT happy! *

Sorry I posted and then disappeared, but I had to run to the bookmobile and take back that book I have been reading. So hello everyone.

Dry I used to get in trouble for things that nowadays would not bat an eye. I have been expelled for wearing bangs like the Beatles first hairstyle on Ed Sullivan and I was expelled for wearing a long sleeve paisley shirt and expelled for wearing jeans.

you know what i dont miss about school? i dont miss the strugling to get up in the morning. the stress of trying to carry everything. the rushing around from class to class. or the lack of orgnization skills that i have. one booksack, two binders, on laptop, one book (as of now) pens pencials, personal things such as walet and stuff in it. mirrow and floss and tooth brush. mp3 and scantrons. how is that to go in my bag on my back and me beable to ride the bike to make it to class on time?

Doc - You said: Boots is like a toddler that can reach the top of the refrigerator. When my oldest son was a toddler, he could climb to the top of the refrigerator. There was no such place out of his reach, unless it was under lock & key! Thank goodness his younger brother was/is easier to handle.

All of my emotions are intense and immediate and that is both good and bad. If I am angry I can explode and get back to normal quickly. If I am having an argument that causes the anger, I am done and over it while the other person still has issues simmering and erupting. Stress is something that hits me fast, but I am not always as adept at getting over it as fast as I would like. Stress isn’t really an emotion though it is more a state of mind.

Yeah, for a long time, I had a quick temper. I do get stressed, though, and hold it in. I fooled myslef into thinking cigs were the answer for over 30 years. For the past year, i’ve been trying to learn a new coping mechanism. Not doing too well on that, but keep trying. Ain’t maturity grand.

Yes maturity makes you realize how stupid you are for feeling the way you are but doesn’t give you the means to stop the stupid thing that you are feeling. I can now rationalize my feelings. So what. For crying out loud, if I am going to be immature allow me to be so without knowing that I am. LOL

hi again, Tribe. my ‘puter’s been a bit balky so i don’t know if i’m going to be here very long, despite having just arrived. on worrying,my Dad was in hospital for a bleeding ulcer and the best way it could be explained to my 6 year-old mind was that it was because he was worrying too much. i made up my mind at that point that i would never worry about anything, and i have pretty much managed to keep that vow my whole life. i do pay attention to things, and handle what needs to be handled, but i don’t stew about them too much.
