WHOA! Doc made breakfast! Wait a minute, he doesn’t know how to use that big white box with the knobs that sits in his kitchen! It must all be frozen stuff! Oh well, I’m hungry! I’ll give his cooking a whirl!
I’ll have the hash browns, sausage links, scrambled eggs, and of COURSE the NUCLEAR COFFEE! I’ll need it for tmr. morning since I should have been in bed and asleep two hours ago!
THANKS DOC!
thanks for breakfast DocT i don’t have a lot of time so i’ll just have a small helping of scrambled eggs with a couple of sausage links and some nuclear coffee. it was a long meeting tonight, and i need to recover!
Hi marg & Dry!
lol tabby is so slow sometimes… been posting on last nights.
Dry go see what i left you
doc who are you and what did you do with our doc?
its been about 9 months since i saw you get 1st. thanks for breakfast ill have. pancakes, french toast, and hashbrows. thank you both
hello Wildcheetah hope you are doing well. thanks for the breakfast. im glad to you it was you who cooked, you know we all love doc but his cooking worries us.
i hate this time of day(?) its when im hungry. i can eat supper late and be stuffed then about this time im starving… i wake up in the morning with hunger pains then i get up and im no longer hungry stupid body of mine
well seeing as im supposed to get uo in the morning and go to my school to buy some books yuck i need to be getting to sleep. but hey i get some BK tomorrow for lunch. he he. bad tabby i know.
i shall say good night now, go fin looking over last page on something then come back and say goodnight again.
hi to wildcheetah, and thanks for making breakfast for DocT to feed to us. time for yyyguys and other children to go to bed, so “Goodnight” to all who are still here.
Carmy, I tried shaving a few years ago when I thought heck, I am going bald why not just embrace the idea and shave it all off. I looked like the back end of a plucked chicken. I finally had it grown back and decided that my wife should cut my hair. She did a really good job. I was inspecting the results and noticed a hair that needed trimming on the top of my head and told her about it so she grabbed the electric trimmer and made a pass over the top of my head, having forgotten to put the guard back onto the razor. The guard allowed her to cut my hair to a uniform height. Suddenly, she has this look of alarm on her face and I realize that she has shaved a patch right down the center of my head. Then she has the nerve to say “You know, it doesn’t look bad.” Picture a reverse mohawk. LOL
A reverse mohawk? Oh my! My husband shaves his own head and he does a good job. Several years ago, he was really trying to hang on to the little hair he still had. I told him to just give it up, embrace the badness, and he did.
I’m pretty good, but it could be like the old prayer:
“O God, I’ve been pretty good so far today. I haven’t been angry at anyone, or cheated on my diet. I haven’t been tempted to cut people off or insult them…. [and so on]
“But I’m getting up in a few moments, and I might need more help after that, God.”
I just returned from body shop at VA. lol Some things just remain the same, darnit. Oh well, what’s happening here? Need to check emails & such………………..
i just got a phone call from my cousmer care at the bank i use. the man says… “we relized you have not been using yoru debit/credit card is there a problem, do you need a new one, is it not meeting you needs” i laughed and told him i was in college and on break it will pick up today trust me. he said “well that makes since thanks.”
DocT, my husky DocH gets back at me by pulling mail and papers off of the tables on to the floor. He doesn’t chew them or anything, just pulls them down to get my attention. He has quite a personality. He’s a stinker!
Doc, that sounds cool. DocH is fine with his own toys, he just likes getting my attention at times. And of course I give it to him most of the time. lol He is my buddy!
I’m back and going through my toon merry-go-round since I did not get to do it this morning. It was waaaaay too early of a day for me today. Even though I have been falling asleep earlier in the evenings lately. Still feels weird to me.
I actually caught a quick nap today, which was nice considering how little sleep I got last night.
Doc good luck with your sleep, I don’t know how people manage on a shift as screwy as that!
Doc I have all of my old matchbox toys too. To show you how anal I was as a kid, they all are in the original boxes and the boxes for the most part, look brand new. And … I played with them lots. I just never liked my stuff to get scratched. LOL
hi Tribe. just a quick flyby to say hi, but i have to comment. DocT your description of Boots is a frightening image. a toddler that can reach the top of the fridge, wow!
**i sould my books back the day of my finals that way i got as much as i could out of it. i think the most i made was $70 on about a $100 book, so i didnt do bad, but you have to go the first day and have perfect books.
what cost me the most was my calculator it was $104. 67 thats crazy!!
Good evening all!
Books is it? I try to buy as many as I can online. I spent $635 on books the first semester I was here, I have never paid remotely close to that much since. One semester, I only spent $27, that was nice.
The smartest class decision I ever made was in high school when I dropped Geometry and took typing instead. It has been more useful than Geometry ever would have been. Especially now with computers.
*Cleo, got a great story about my Geometry class, but it’s too long to post here! Well, I think it’s great anyway. Makes me laugh now when I think about it, but myself and 3 of my friends got a couple of days of detention after school for it! Our parents WERE NOT happy! *
so i am so fed up with my school its terribe. i was told last sem. i could not get a parking permit bc i had a class after 3 to go back next sem and get one then if i did not have classe after 3. so i go in today and they tell me, oh you dont live on campus so you cant get a permit. HOW STUPID!!!?
this is a load of bull dodo!!!!! so i email them and its not pretty or ugly its just telling them what i want. im fed up with it, tired of being pushed around. grrr.
Sorry I posted and then disappeared, but I had to run to the bookmobile and take back that book I have been reading. So hello everyone.
Dry I used to get in trouble for things that nowadays would not bat an eye. I have been expelled for wearing bangs like the Beatles first hairstyle on Ed Sullivan and I was expelled for wearing a long sleeve paisley shirt and expelled for wearing jeans.
Tabby the Black Eyed Peas are pretty awesome! You need to listen to more of their tunes! I like all kinds of music, except the twangy country which you already know!
Hey Johnny, I was a good student too, except in trig! We won’t discuss that, LOL! And I NEVER got expelled, JUST DETENTION a couple times! And the only bad things I did was skip school a few times in my Senior year! :-D
you know what i dont miss about school? i dont miss the strugling to get up in the morning. the stress of trying to carry everything. the rushing around from class to class. or the lack of orgnization skills that i have. one booksack, two binders, on laptop, one book (as of now) pens pencials, personal things such as walet and stuff in it. mirrow and floss and tooth brush. mp3 and scantrons. how is that to go in my bag on my back and me beable to ride the bike to make it to class on time?
When I went back to university, I had all that - well, not the MP3 player - plus a 4’x5’ art potfolio and art supplies. Also all carried very precariously on my bike. I feel for you!
Doc - You said: Boots is like a toddler that can reach the top of the refrigerator.
When my oldest son was a toddler, he could climb to the top of the refrigerator. There was no such place out of his reach, unless it was under lock & key! Thank goodness his younger brother was/is easier to handle.
Hello all. Dinner is done, dishes are washed. I am boiling some eggs to have on hand and will watch a movie soon. So, tomorrow is day one of school for Tabby. Hang in there girl.
cleo thanks. ill be fine if i can get this stuff packed. lol and get some sleep. thinking about taking something for this headace that will make me sleepy
Worrying is something I try to avoid. Life can be unpleasant enough, I don’t need more stress.
At any rate, it is time to do some homework, so I am going to sign off for the night.
Peace and love all!
this might just work. :D got all the books in the bag and a way to put laptop. now for personal junk. and to beable to carry it all on the bike. which i need to hook up in the morning. bc i forgot to put on the car tonight Grr
I have worried all my life too Tabby and it has never done me one lick of good. It is hard to get out of the cycle of worry, but it is always best if you try. Worry isn’t good for your health.
All of my emotions are intense and immediate and that is both good and bad. If I am angry I can explode and get back to normal quickly. If I am having an argument that causes the anger, I am done and over it while the other person still has issues simmering and erupting. Stress is something that hits me fast, but I am not always as adept at getting over it as fast as I would like. Stress isn’t really an emotion though it is more a state of mind.
Yeah, for a long time, I had a quick temper. I do get stressed, though, and hold it in. I fooled myslef into thinking cigs were the answer for over 30 years. For the past year, i’ve been trying to learn a new coping mechanism. Not doing too well on that, but keep trying. Ain’t maturity grand.
Yes maturity makes you realize how stupid you are for feeling the way you are but doesn’t give you the means to stop the stupid thing that you are feeling. I can now rationalize my feelings. So what. For crying out loud, if I am going to be immature allow me to be so without knowing that I am. LOL
okay going get my charger out the kitchen and come back watch a movie and go night night. see you all in the morning. maybe. peace and love.
night night
hi again, Tribe.
my ‘puter’s been a bit balky so i don’t know if i’m going to be here very long, despite having just arrived.
on worrying,my Dad was in hospital for a bleeding ulcer and the best way it could be explained to my 6 year-old mind was that it was because he was worrying too much. i made up my mind at that point that i would never worry about anything, and i have pretty much managed to keep that vow my whole life. i do pay attention to things, and handle what needs to be handled, but i don’t stew about them too much.

Some people look good bald. Others have odd bumps–or look like volcanoes. But what can you do?
Edit: at least you don’t have to look at your own head very often. Except in mirrors. And not much then, if you are bald…
cleokaya almost 15 years ago
Just don’t turn your back to those kitties Doc.

tabbylynn almost 15 years ago
bbl need to get things done.
bmonk almost 15 years ago
That was one bad thing about school–the books are so turrible durn expensive, and many of them books you’d never want to buy on your own.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member almost 15 years ago
And when you go to sell them even in EXCELLENT condition, you get less than half of what you paid for them.
bmonk I think Doc is so smitten that he IS getting delirious!
COWBOY7 almost 15 years ago

My daughter just spent quite a bit on her books too. She did pretty good selling her books last year though.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Did she sell them to people or back to the bookstore?
bmonk almost 15 years ago
But do we have 911 in cyberspace, or how do we tell them where to send the ambulance to find DocT???
Maybe we need to wake him up–who’s got the horn today?

tabbylynn almost 15 years ago
get more money the sooner you sell them. if you do it the first day they have very little of that book and want it/need it. so its smart sales. :D

johnny $27> Did you buy them from a student “getting out of dodge” having a yard sale? Man you were lucky!
johnnydoc5 almost 15 years ago
Borrowed one from a friend, bought one online, one and a store, and didn’t buy one. It all worked out though.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member almost 15 years ago

Good evening, all. You know you’re busy when you read your morning comics at 9 pm. SIgh.
johnnydoc5 almost 15 years ago
Celecca, I’ve been having that problem lately too, if I get to read all my comics at all!
celeconecca almost 15 years ago
Doc
Saw your breakfast and the morning posts. Nice for everyone to have such faith in Wildcheetah!
johnnydoc5 - I usually get to read them, but not to comment like I’d like. So, at least I can see what my favorite people are posting!

you know what i dont miss about school? i dont miss the strugling to get up in the morning. the stress of trying to carry everything. the rushing around from class to class. or the lack of orgnization skills that i have. one booksack, two binders, on laptop, one book (as of now) pens pencials, personal things such as walet and stuff in it. mirrow and floss and tooth brush. mp3 and scantrons. how is that to go in my bag on my back and me beable to ride the bike to make it to class on time?
celeconecca almost 15 years ago
Tabby - are you talking about now or high school?
tabbylynn almost 15 years ago
now
celeconecca almost 15 years ago
When I went back to university, I had all that - well, not the MP3 player - plus a 4’x5’ art potfolio and art supplies. Also all carried very precariously on my bike. I feel for you!

Doc - You said: Boots is like a toddler that can reach the top of the refrigerator. When my oldest son was a toddler, he could climb to the top of the refrigerator. There was no such place out of his reach, unless it was under lock & key! Thank goodness his younger brother was/is easier to handle.

cleokaya almost 15 years ago
You and all your worries. You probably have a stress headache. You worry even more than I do, and that is not a good thing Tabby.
tabbylynn almost 15 years ago
grr i just remembered the other 2 books i have to have in my bag… this is not going to work.
tabbylynn almost 15 years ago
Cleo thats what i do best…. i worry about everything.
johnnydoc5 almost 15 years ago
Worrying is something I try to avoid. Life can be unpleasant enough, I don’t need more stress. At any rate, it is time to do some homework, so I am going to sign off for the night. Peace and love all!
tabbylynn almost 15 years ago
this might just work. :D got all the books in the bag and a way to put laptop. now for personal junk. and to beable to carry it all on the bike. which i need to hook up in the morning. bc i forgot to put on the car tonight Grr

Good Night johnnyd.
I have worried all my life too Tabby and it has never done me one lick of good. It is hard to get out of the cycle of worry, but it is always best if you try. Worry isn’t good for your health.
tabbylynn almost 15 years ago
im working on it… just not to good so far.
celeconecca almost 15 years ago
Cleo I agree, and yet we still do it. Wonder why we’re wired lke that. Of course, i wouldn’t want to be Alfred E, Neumann) either!

Hello celecca. I don’t know “What me worry?” can be a pretty comfortable place to be, but you are right, sometimes it is best to face reality.
celeconecca almost 15 years ago
Yeah, for a long time, I had a quick temper. I do get stressed, though, and hold it in. I fooled myslef into thinking cigs were the answer for over 30 years. For the past year, i’ve been trying to learn a new coping mechanism. Not doing too well on that, but keep trying. Ain’t maturity grand.
celeconecca almost 15 years ago
It’s 11 pm, I need to hit the hay. Thanks for talking with me.
cleokaya almost 15 years ago
Yes maturity makes you realize how stupid you are for feeling the way you are but doesn’t give you the means to stop the stupid thing that you are feeling. I can now rationalize my feelings. So what. For crying out loud, if I am going to be immature allow me to be so without knowing that I am. LOL
celeconecca almost 15 years ago
Amen. :}

hi again, Tribe. my ‘puter’s been a bit balky so i don’t know if i’m going to be here very long, despite having just arrived. on worrying,my Dad was in hospital for a bleeding ulcer and the best way it could be explained to my 6 year-old mind was that it was because he was worrying too much. i made up my mind at that point that i would never worry about anything, and i have pretty much managed to keep that vow my whole life. i do pay attention to things, and handle what needs to be handled, but i don’t stew about them too much.
