Hi Terry, Dry, RMom! I’ve been watching the weather and thinking many of you are being hammered. Cleo and I (and usually JFri although it seems not right now) live in paradise and we don’t take it for granted.

Terry I missed why you are on antibiotics. Hope you’re feeling better. Boy you’ve had a rough ride!

Actually, the weather here is not that nice, but it’s handle-able–unless you live out in the countryside and are without power for a week or more. The secret is to be ready for a few days of blizzard or cold, and to have flexible plans–plenty of rescheduling, which has it’s own downside.

Have the schools been shut down often, BMonk? Guess the kids wouldn’t mind some snow days - unless they are in their final year.

I think they’ve had only 2 or 3 snow/cold days–much of the bad weather came over the Christmas break, or on weekends.

We haven’t had any school closings in my part of KS. (The weather in northern and/or western KS is worse than what we usually get here.) Although, like bmonk said, the storm at Christmas would probably have shut down schools, if they’d been in session. I can handle the snow, it is that ice that I really dread to see. Oh, it is beautiful, but treacherous. Worse to walk or drive on, and makes the power lines go down. Today the weather has been pretty nice - sunny & 50’s. But tomorrow afternoon is when the nasty weather is to start.

So, I finally get done with school for the day, and everyone runs off? I thought I used antiperspirant today.

I’m guessing probably “College Algebra”. My son had to take that. From teaching, I’ve learned a lot of math that I didn’t learn the first time around, but it would depend on the problem whether I knew enough to be helpful. There are some great websites though. Try freemathhelp.com if you need some examples of the type of problem you’re doing.
