I see. Well, I thought they had 155 comics at the start of the day yesterday. They say 147 were updated today, but I don’t want to count all the strips to see how many are left, at least not while I’m at work.

Grog they all don’t update every day, so you can’t go by that.

Must be the small market comics disappearing… or something else, I don’t know how they do things here.

@Doc: when Saucy was getting up in years, we gave her doggy glucosamine. It really seemed to help. Most pet stores carry it.

I wonder if they are done eliminating the comics they are getting rid of. I will miss WTP. Not so much the Dinette Set, but you can find that elsewhere. The Dinette Set characters remind me of “Walmart People”. Ever see those joke emails?

Grog I think bunny knows what I meant :-) Those two/one are trolls, there are a few more around as well. Some people just don’t recognize them as quickly as others.

Grog as I said, he/she/them, aren’t the only ones around here. Some people just don’t realize who they are talking to and respond to some people they shouldn’t because that just encourages the trolls to return.

This is a slow time of the year for auto repairs. People are waiting for tax returns. And it seems that auto repairs are nowhere near the top of most priority lists. Unless the repairs are for a holiday weekend getaway. I’ve done this for the better part of 30 years now, with the military in between.

Well, I’m going to go get my mess from the repair job cleaned up. Catch you all in a little bit!

On a saner note, good evening Tribe. It’s been a busy day, what with sleeping until 10am, getting stuff together for GoodWill and doing the plasma thing. I was also trying to find the store with the mattress sale, and I know where ‘across from Collucci’s’ is at, but it didn’t have the same store name. Ah well, I’ll be out there again Thursday for plasma and beading, so I’ll buy a mattress at the same time.

Where would the Tribe go if Big Top is pulled? Birdbrains? 2 Cows and a Chicken? It would be an absolute bummer to lose the Tribe I’d have to eat all eat all these Krispy Kreams by myself .

Yeah. I’m going to relax & watch a movie and hopefully get to sleep early tonight. It was a late one last night. Even when I went to bed I didn’t sleep well.

I’m surprised TCM doesn’t have it on this year. I’ll have to watch my tape - but one of these days I’m going to upgrade to DVD.

Well, I hope not. But you never know. It’s obviously been done before.

While living in Edmonton, the final 6 months of my stay before relocating, I had kids move in to the town house next to me. I put up with these neighbors who played music really loud until 2AM almost EVERY night. Knowing that I was leaving, I didn’t make a big fuss about it, but getting up at 5AM made life a bit rough for a stretch. But I was glad to get out of there. I vowed never to live in a townhouse or appartment again.

Doc, How old is she? Could she have hip dysplacia (sp?) given her size? A lot of big dogs get that. Have they checked her for lyme disease? My friends Lab had that, but they caught it in time. He was limping on his paw, they couldn’t find any where he had hurt his paw, but it kept up so they took him to vet for blood tests and it turned out he tested positive for lyme. He was on anitbiodics, and now he’s back to his old self, this was about 6 months ago. Ticks live in any kind of climate even in winter it seems.

Doc No not an old dog at all! . Poor little (big) girl! Having had many dogs, and knowing many dog owners, if the xrays don’t show a problem, I would recommend blood work. One of my close friends raises and shows Shelties, has a dog training class twice a year, and knows an awful lot about dogs in general. I remember her saying once, if xrays don’t show anything and your dog is still limping, or aching somewhere, have blood tests done.

Doc–My dog “Doc(Holiday)” is going on 7 and he is beginning to have problems in the rear hip area. Being a husky, it is fairly common. He doesn’t have any problems yet to speak of, but he is slightly hesitant when you touch him back there too rough.

Carmy the dough is extremely wet, which makes it a chore to work with. I made a mess, but got my two loaves done, just expwct it to be very sticky.

Cleo, I’m sure it will be just fine.

Carmy, it will. The loaves turned out great. It was just odd to have so much dough stuck to my hands. They look like they will be good. For some reason, they suggest making the bread a day ahead of when you wish to eat it. So, I did.

Thank you Dry. The loaves look great. They are simple to make, it is just the tackiness of the dough that is a pain.

Cleo, I’m sure you will find out why they suggest to make the bread a day ahead. I make challah and it is very sticky until I add a bit more flour. Before I braid it, I dust my board and my hands and that does help a lot.
