Anyone here ever watch South Korean dramas on NetFlix?
Last week I watched My Girlfriend Is An Agent. Very funny. But there was one scene that could have been better. The agent is checking out an injector gun and asks “how does it work.” Her coworker replies “Let me check the directions” and unfolds a 5 × 9 sheet of instructions written in Chinese. It would have been really funny if the instructions were written in English and her comment was “Ain’t nobody got time for this!”But still a good video although I don’t think all the subtitles were quite correct.
Dry, I felt he same way about foreign language films (with English subtitles) that you did.Until I saw “Amelie”a brilliant, hilarious, touching film , completely spoken in French
What I am currently watching now is a couple of Korean historical epic dramas I guess you would call them. One is “Warrior Baek Dong Su” and the other is “The Great Queen Seondeok.” The only bad part is you can’t leave the room for a minute because you really need to read the subtitles to keep up. Never a dull moment in either one of those programs.
x-Tech, I’m not familiar with that program so I googled it. Except for “Sign” which is a South Korean version of “CSI”, I have been watching the epic dramas based on the Joseon era.
Stel I have sworn I will never do Facebook, and so far, I have stayed away from that completely. Now as far as you giving in to commenting in this forum, “How can you resist such wonderful people as ourselves gathered here”?
@Dry, In FB, I talk with folks who I mostly have actually met. I behave better there, too because most of my friends and family would be shocked by many of the things I say and do when they are not around. Here I can be myself, because most friends on GoComics don’t know who I really am.
Fellow Baby, sadly, no! I was hoping, but it’s melting on the roads as it falls since the highway dept. pre-treated the highways before the snow started. Darn them anyway! Youngest is off though, due to the nature of his work, they can’t do much today.
I posted most of my murals through the years on BS yesterday during Sunday chat, and realized that I forgot the one I painted in my eldest grandson’s room (he was 7 or so) He was 24 last month; I’ll post that today.
StelBel, the first time I saw the comments here, I thought, “At last! People who think like me!” Actually, I think I was a little crazier than most in the beginning. I’ve toned myself down somewhat.
As for FB, I know everyone I have friended, but I no longer go on FB. “Ain’t nobody got time fo’ dat!”I’ve shut down my account so that only close friends can see it. Sometimes, I hear news there I otherwise would miss, but not much. Anyone who has news for me has my email address.
Hi Grog and Dry!Hi chefwen, x_Tech, cleo, happy, nighthawks, sugie and JP SteveHi DAZZ! You and me both. I am well-behaved here, but the way I joke would surprise some people. I let loose here because I share an interest in the comics that friends in RL just don’t get. The only other person who got the comics the way I do was my dad, and one or two acquaintances.

StelBel, I believe that Gnave, Knave and Nave all sound the same. I’m sure that nighthawks was just being creative. :-)
