"Summer in the City" Poetry by Heart. Hey-hidey-ho! Where'd Dean's little swim trunks go? He laid them there so they could dry, a homeless man then happened by-- zippity-zippity-zed! Now Dean's trunks are on his head. I ran across the burning street, and now I have two burning feet. Flick Flick Flick! I have an ice cream cone to lick. Plip! Plap! Plop! On the sidewalk it did drop. And since the sun will melt it soon, I now must eat it with a spoon. This summer I saw some scary things, I saw a pidegeon with three wings! A scary dog! A scary cat! I even saw a scary rat! But the scariest thing of them all: a "back-to-school" sign at the mall.

The ‘li’ kerning in the first line of the ice cream poem lends itself to an interesting effect.
