Heart: Alms for the poor... Alms for the poor... What do you think, Mom? I'm all set for the coming depression you keep talking about... Mom: Ha ha... And where, exactly, did you get a potato sack?
Saturday 22 November is the 10th anniversary of Heart of the City. (See http://tinyurl.com/runar-2008-11-19b)
I’ve only been reading it for about five. At first I took it for just another one of those cutesy-poo kid strips, but there was a bit of an edge to it that brought me back. Now I’m glad I stuck with it.
I hadn’t realized that Saturday is the 10th anniversary…congratulations Mark! I’ve been reading HOTC since 2002. I’ve always thought of the strip as a (sort of) female Calvin & Hobbes. Except the sidekick is a real live person. ;-)
About today’s strip: all Heart needs now is a wooden crate from which to sell apples on the street. And Mrs. Angelini may have a thing or two to say about it.

I’ve been reading it for four years along with his smash hit strip “lio”.

Well, ten years? Bummer, I have missed a lot of strips then! Just discovered it today! Looks pretty good!

I thought about the apple angle, too. That or matches. This all reminded me of a very old cartoon (1934) (See http://tinyurl.com/runar-2008-11-19c).

About a year now for me. I stumbled upon Dean trying to breath under water with his Darth Vader mask.
