Typical kid. He hates it, yet he doesn’t even know what it is.

Telling him ‘tortellini’ was mom’s big mistake….if she had said ‘bat brains’ he would be begging for second helpings.

If Calvin actually knew what tortellini is, he could give a much more convincing performance.

I had a foster daughter like Calvin. After teaching her for several weeks, dinner would go like this:

    “I don’t like tortellini.”

    “Yes, you do.”

    “I do?”

    “Yep.”

“Okay.” [takes a bite.] “Hey, this is really good!”

    “Told you so.”

If you want tortellini soup, I left a nice pot over at Pibgorn’s couch of confusion. Enjoy! (Yum!)

Oh Calvin, you can’t eat any better than Italian! Just ask me, I’m Italian, on my mother’s side 100%.

I wasn’t sure what it was either so I looked it up. Looks pretty good and versatile, you can make it in different ways.

You’ll eat what is on your plate or you won’t eat at all. That’s what we always heard. Most of the time it was really good. I also love tortellini!!!

We’ve got ten kids. Half are picky. We discovered a long time ago the value of creative naming.

Gopher Guts Chicken breast mixed with a cream cheese filling, inside a rolled out biscuit turnover

Monkey Heads–Stuffed peppers ( I think we got it from C&H!)

Martian Stew–Green mac and cheese with vegetables and some cream of mushroom soup mixed in.

These are all real recipes in our family.

My brother was just like that too. If he said he didn’t like something, my mom would point out the falacious fact that he had alriedy tried it and it was his favourite food. He bought it every time.

No, but I once stared at cold brussel sprouts for several hours while my friends played outside. Mom’s other favorite was to put whatever you didn’t want to eat back out on your plate the next night.

They’re little bits of pasta stuffed with cheese, meat, sauce and spices. They’re one of the tastiest foods Italy has to offer.
