Mom, all the kids in class think that I am weird, for like, no reason!

Calvin’s in a class by himself. Sooner or later it’s got to be embarassing.

Used to work with a guy who had a sinus problem. Ever hear fingernails on a chalkboard?

Had to learn to overlook it, though. He was a really nice fellow!

O that daydreaming in school during class.

No wonder his teacher has gray hair. with those types of outburst she probably has a hart condition now also.

Felix Unger had the same problems in his childhood, but his really was sinus.

I don’t think so, you are before you are. Those kids are too well behaved to join it. It’s no suprise that Calvin’s an outcast & has no friends.

I wonder if that is me in past when had my sinus problem all clogged up and I couldn’t breath, hear, and my throat.

School was like this for me, too.

I had severe allergies as a child. Snuffleupagus had nothing on me.

I would gladly accept (sympathize with) Calvins excuse. Except that we all know the reality.

Not sure they’re buying it, though…

Oh, the frustration of being surrounded by dull and boring kids that don’t have anywhere near the creative imagination that Calvin has! On the other hand, maybe school isn’t quite the right place to be when your mind wanders and ends up taking you on an imaginary trip to Jurassic Park!

I have 21 students in my first grade class and at least three of them must be clones of Calvin–and not “good Calvin” either! Another 7 or 8 take turns being Calvin, and thankfully, it’s usually on different days. Perhaps reading this every day will give me some insights on where their minds have gone temporarily and how to get them back. But I’m not going to bet on it!

I remember seeing this strip in a collection once, but I didn’t remember Calvin blushing like that. Does anyone know if this is one of the Sunday strips that was never released in a color collection?

Yeah, sometimes my imagination gets the best of me, too. And I’m no little kid anymore.

I love how the T Rex seems all alone–but the other dinosaurs and such are really there all along. Calvin is exceedingly imaginative, and usually manages to incorporate all sorts of unexpected things into his fantasies.

Looks like Calvinasaurus not only cleared out his sinuses, but the classroom as well. The facial expressions on this kid are magnificent. I can well understand his loneliness, as much of my growing up was like his….
