If Paige saw this, she would freak. And not because of the spikes.
Because he made her an ORC.

Marcus appears to be rolling one 6-sided die and one 4-sided die. That’s not a usual combination, but these are not usual guys. So the results are anywhere from 2 to 10, with the following chances: 2 or 10 – 4.2% each, 3 or 9 – 8.3% each, 4 or 8 – 12.5% each, 5-7 – 16.7% each. Impossible to tell with such a small sample size, but maybe Marcus needed to roll an 8 or higher (25% chance) or a 7 or higher (42% chance) for the spikes to deploy and kill Paige. Obviously Jason was going to keep trying until Marcus rolled whatever was necessary. So what we’re really dealing with is 100% odds that the desired roll will happen in panel 3.
