This strip actually came from something that happened to me back then. Unfortunately, the people I was dealing with thought they were cool, ejcaputlet. It was a cartoonist function and they actually had an armed guard to keep cartoonists who hadn’t been invited out. I won’t name names since the punk who kicked me out of the party works with this syndicate.
The good news is that I pulled a pretty good strip out of the experience. :o)
