Get used to it. With the EPA facing extincion, we’ll have to trust that big corporations have our best interests in mind, when processing products for consumption. Just like they did in the “good old days” when radium, and other “medicinal” ingredients were sold as “cure alls!”

I as a consumer am willing to pay more than gasoline for water from an unknown source. I also bought 2 pet rocks in case one died. Oh look, “As seen on TV.”Wonder why the country’s broke?

Zig, that’s because ‘fracking’ hadn’t been in practice yet.

I’ve been drinking filtered tap water for years now, and it tastes better than the bottled water! It’s not that expensive to just install a filter system under the kitchen sink. Got one on the fridge water line also.

The one good reason for getting bottled water is in time of a natural disaster like the recent tornado here in Joplin. We are under a boil order right now, and for many people bottled water is simply a better option than boiling. That being said, I prefer to take the time and effort to boil tap water rather than spend the markup.

“Warning: Bottled water may be hazardous to your wallet.”

I use a refillable PUR filtered water dispenser, inexpensive and easy to refill. (filters need changing about every 2 months.)

Also I keep a couple of 2-1/2 gallon jugs of water on the shelf in case of emergencies.

    It is about the plastic.

I have my own water cooler at home that I only fill with filtered water. However, I still believe in water bottles when on the go. I’m not contributing to the waste in landfills because I always recycle water bottles. The only thing about water bottles is, depending on the type of plastic, I read if you leave them out in the sunlight too long, it can mess with the chemical structure of the plastic insomuch as it disintegrates into the water, which is harmful to ingest (so that would apply to all plastic bottled beverages, not just water).
