“There once was a girl named Teena
Whose sister was ugly and mean-a.
They fought all the time
Without reason or rhyme
Over which was the real beauty queen-a.”
Hope Teena doesn’t come to a line that will end with “orange.” There are no words that rhyme with that.
Well, there’s “door hinge” which I saw and heard on TEENICK’s “Drake and Josh” (Drake was writing a song and had that trouble; Josh ran out of the room over something exciting and bruised his head by running into the… well, you know).
I wondered loudly to the crowd
That gathers ‘round when I appear
“You’re obviously pretty wowed -
I’m not sure I should let you near.”
So they stepped back to give me room
Afraid I’d leave them in their gloom.
Because, you see, they idolize
my every move, each breath I take,
my perfect hair, my gorgeous eyes.
This sort of thing you just can’t fake.
It only takes a single glance
from me to make my minions dance.
I could go on, it isn’t hard.
Unseemly, maybe some would say
(no doubt some jealous tub of lard -
who’d care what she thought, anyway?).
Trust me, I know you’ll never see
A thing as great as me, me, me!
