    Or worse: after working for decades, your employers over the years have wrung you out, chewed you up, and spit you out while you’re still in your 50’s. Then, if you’re lucky, you can get disability and have the rest of your life on vacation.

    But then, that may not last as long as you like.

    Disabled here too, It has its bad parts too, no vacations, no room for advancement, no raises, no office comaradary, (I don’t think I spelled that righr), no one to blame…etc. Seriously, disability is no fun.

    Those I know on disability would jump at the chance of getting back into the able-bodied workforce. Not one enjoys it. For that matter, not one unemployed person I know - and in my line of work, I know quite a few - likes being unemployed. Whoever thinks collecting unemployment (or Welfare for that matter) is bowl of cherries has never tried it.

    I’m also on disability. I wouldn’t wish my nightmare of a life on my worst enemy.

    Just got back from the VA hospital yesterday… certainly no picnic! Make the most of your educational years, girls! It could always be worse.
