Remember this cartoon when someone tells you the only thing we have to fear is fear itself. He’s trying to distract you from real problems.
Kind of like Iran launching a satellite and some fool on TV this morning saying it is unrelated to nuclear weapons.

I think Stantis got this idea from a Vent I posted in the Atlanta Journal Constitution about ten days ago. It is almost word for word for what I wrote. Or else, great minds think alike!

pschearer, that’s what they feared about Sputnik. We got to the Moon because of that one. Perhaps AlpahCentari is next?

Sounds good, I almost want to get as far from Libs as I can…

Mrprongs: What you’ve left out is the fact that Americans had to spend about four decades under a justified fear of sudden nuclear annihilation. As much as I admired the achievements of the American moon program, I don’t think that price was worth it just for some moon rocks.
Also, the Russians, unlike our current enemies, at least did not worship death, so our own nuclear deterrent could actually deter. Do you think Ahmadina-nutjob or Osama bin Laden care about getting blown to paradise?
