If you can’t afford to buy stock in Coke like Warren Buffet, this is the only sensible solution. :) Coke is about the safest investment even going into a depression. Why? Cause it’s cheaper to buy than water.
Which is quite interesting since the primary ingredient in Coke is carbonated water.
Of course you’ll pay more for Coke from other nations than for the Coke you buy in the states. Coke in the states is made from high fruitose corn syrup while Coke made in many other nations, such as Mexico, is made from sugar.
I knew there was a reason I liked Chinese Coke better. To this day if I pop the top of a can of Coke I’m back in 1985 in the Shanghai summer sun. One of the best tourist memories of my entire life.
I live in an older home in the city with a three month old baby. I’m working on a few mandatory remodeling projects but the lead pipe connecting the house to the city water supply is going to be like 5-7k and while I have enough money at present to fix it, I figured it might be smarter now to save that money while the economy is bonkers and buy water so the tyke doesn’t get dosed with lead through me. Our recycling programs are really good and I buy 5L jugs of water so my guilt atm is minimal.
Thoughts to keep in mind: Both Pepsi and Coke in the last 10 years have invested huge into the water filtering industry. What does that tell you about the future of buying water anyhow? :)

No funds to hedge here. The government bled me dry years ago.

Buried behind the hedges is really the only logical place to put a hedge fund.

he’s lucky, he’s still got something to bury and he can afford not to touch it for awhile…

MagusCGM- Over here in Japan Coke is cheaper than water too BUT its the same as bottled tea…which is just odd.
Sidenote:Theres vending machines EVERYWHERE here. Random spots too. On my mile and a half walk to school i pass at least 8 of them!

How about not buying bottled water and saving our environment from plastic bottles, Guntotingliberal?
