How about getting him a sponge?
With that much saliva, it would be a really tough problem to lick!
Put him in the bathtub and after about 10 minutes tell Jon his bath is ready.

I have a bullmastiff that doesn’t drool at all unless she’s having a drink of water….then she could give Odie a lesson in watering everything in a 100 feet radius.
I wonder if there have ever been any flash floods in Garfield’s house.
The wettest dog tongues I have ever seen are Saint Bernard. But Odie’s build is nothing like.
