Brewster’s taking this whole “dead” thing rather lightly. Of course, for someone who’s been brain-dead for his whole life, this is not all that novel an experience.

No, no. Brewster hasn’t been brain-dead his whole life. He sacrificed his IQ on the alter of alien mind probes to save everyone else.
