I agree, Gweedo. Sometimes a straight line just sits there waiting for you to expand upon it. Yet your reason implores you to give it a wide berth, to just leave it behind and walk away. Such self control broadens the mind, leaving you, in the end, a more well-rounded person.

I agree with Elly and Anne. Most of us do not have a so-called perfect figure (as the men don’t have a perfect physique) and we’re tired of feeling inferior because we don’t look like models. That’s why so many young girls develop anorexia and bulimea.

I watched a vid made by Dove (the soap, not the candy) about real beauty - they showed a model from sitting down to being perfectly made up… including how they digitally manipulated her photo to make her taller & skinnier… Model’s aren’t perfect either.

Yeah, but for every one of those, about 15 are ballooning up like the Michelin (wo)man, and that just as unattractive and unhealthy.

edit: Though obesity is an equal gender offender, whereas eating disorders are, admittedly, predominantly a female thing.

I think more men like the “normal” look in the long run. If not, the human race would have died out ages ago.

Perfection is all in the eye of the beholder and most all of us find someone who finds us attractive. But I agree with seed-drill, the population is getting to obese. It’s sad to go to town and look at all the grade school kids who are obese. Their parents should be aware of just how many health problems await a child who is overweight so young. When I was a child, a fat kid was a low minority to the percentage of children that were slim.

I hope Elly and Annie would not believe the wives’ tales about the way they look. Don’t believe that! As long as your looks are just fine and beauty. And of course, human being.

Macushlalondra I absolutely agree with you. I think you spell the word for bulimia? Both of anorexia and bulimia are very unhealthy!

Cleokaya, that is good point. True! I hate to see the way the people and of course, children become obesity that will be very unhealthy. They should have more healthy, balanced, nutrients and foods to eat and exercise as well.

Late last year, AOhHell posited a mjor study on what body type men prefer. The results showed the most popular body type to be a size 12, not the twig-like sizes. Women like Elly and Anne will find themselves more in demand than the Heidi Klums.

yep, it’s nearly impossible to be a size zero to 2 like today’s models/actresses and have a curvy bust; that’s why the skinniest elites have their 32D implants. The result is a body type that too many women feel condemned to aspire to, yet the vast majority can never naturally achieve, though men might not realize that. At least you might be able to exercise your butt off, or into better shape.

Makes you wonder why the people who employ these models and actresses demand that they all be a size 0, when women in the real world are no where near that. The tabloids do not help either, if an actress is a is 6, she is considered “plus size”
