Look out, Lizzie! My mother always said that boys shouldn’t hit girls–but she insisted that girls shouldn’t give boys a reason to hit them. Lizzie just gave that reason.
Well, Elly says NO, so Lizzie learned it from her mother. Thus starts another generation of females saying NO to males. Now you know where we learned it….at our mother’s knee.
Guys, take note. No means No, especially when a girl / lady / woman says it. They don’t need a reason.
Same goes for the response to the question “why?”.
It’s always “Because!” We just have to learn to accept it.
No means no once a valid reason is given. If no such reason is given, then no is just mean! Boy Michael is just getting the pushed around everywhere. For no apparent reason.
Liz said “NO”. The boys said we’re coming in anyway and told her to move over. They could have asked to sit on one side or even started building their own sand castles, on the other side. Later they could have helped Liz with building.
A guy who grew up with 4 sisters AND they had five brothers!
For no apparent reason?? I think “Well, we’re comin in anyway, so move over” sounds like he’s being pretty aggressive and needs to be reminded what “No” means.
Keep in mind that Lizzie is about 2 years old and doesn’t have the best vocabulary, so she’s not capable of elaborating on why she’s saying “No”.
Wow, some of you have some serious issues that a professional should help you with…

try saying “no” to a woman and see what happens - instant selective hearing - and they have no moral conscience about the double standard.
