Reminds me of a writer’s meeting last fall. Somebody had feedback to tell me about a story, so I pulled out my smartphone, slid open the keyboard, and opened up a notes file. “Okay, go ahead.”
Him: “Oh, I can wait. Finish your texting.”
Me: “I’m not texting, I’m just getting ready to make a note of what you’re about to tell me!”
(Was I the rude one? I don’t think so, but it was kinda funny at the time.)
