I never could sleep well in hotels. I’d toss and turn before getting to sleep and then I didn’t want to get up because I didn’t get enough sleep. Nothing like your own bed to be comfortable.
Why are you spending all your time in the hotel? Is there NOTHING to do in that town?My Mom would occasionally accompany me when I had a convention. She’d see the sights while I was in class. She went to LA, New Orleans and Cancun, but never sat around the room all day.
Saucy, I agree- I traveled on business when I was Clair’s age, and seldom got back to my room in time to watch TV (much less have room service). After work was party time and find a good place to eat- and made friends!

I know how she feels. nothing like a luxury hotel to send one home perfectly content.
