    I don’t know about elsewhere, but in Canada, you could keep them, and there’s nothing the Club could do about it. They weren’t ordered or otherwise asked for, therefore they are unsolicited, and you cannot be charged for receiving unsolicited mail, no matter what “official” notices or forms the mail also includes (as long as you don’t sign them)

    When I was a teenager (about 1997. I still lived at home & tho I did have a job it didn’t pay much!) some book club decided to start sending me books that I didn’t ask for! However I loved books/reading and was still pretty naive so I just kept them and very soon had a huge bill i could never afford to pay! Was looking at having a very bad start to my credit record but my grandfather (who was like a father to me. We lived on his farm, my biological father was out of the picture and my step-father was only a few years older than me and having married a 30ish year old woman with 6 kids was in way over his head -but that’s a whole other story lol) anyway my gramps bailed me out!
