Great Father’s Day strip. Not the usual kind, but still great.

Somebody please fill me in. Where is Lio’s mom? I really like this strip.

That sure is an “AWWW” moment for sure! Happy Father’s Day to all you dads and grandpas and adopted dads and foster dads and dad-figures! YOU make a difference!

Happy Father’s Day

Happy Father’s Day everyone who is a dad of any kind.

I didn’t know the whereabouts of Lio’s mom until last Christmas season and he was giving gifts. He had a gift for mom. It was flowers taken to the grave where his mom is buried.

This is as sweet as that strip where his dad hung Lio’s picture on the fridge that horrified everyone at his school.

Lio’s mom died. He visits her grave on Mother’s Day .

Although “Lio” is running on popularity nowadays, today’s “Heart” outshines this in every way. The last strip must be Tatulli going Batiuk and destroying the perfectly crafted world Lio’s created for himself. Without his coping mechanism, well you can figure out the rest.

After all the times we see Dad’s exasperation, it’s cool to see strips like this that show how much he loves and “gets” his son! Good work! : )
