We would go visit Grandpa Huie after church services when I was growing up. I would immediately go into his chicken pen to play with the rooster. The rooster would fly at me and try to spur me. I didn’t understand he was trying to kill me. I would knee him away and enjoy his next attack. He attacked even younger female cousins of mine and was turned into rooster and dumplings.
