I wouldn’t do it, but it is not completely unreasonable to treat a symbolic attack like a physical attack. Why wouldn’t I do it? Hmmm. Maybe I should do it. Not doing it is disrespectful to their symbolic attack. It’s like GWB dodging the flung shoe without getting upset or killing everybody in his family. It was insulting not to take it seriously.
