Violence is often the only answer some will ever listen to. That’s why we arm police and soldiers and guards. You often don’t have to act violently as long as all understand you are ready should the need arise. Even people who would beat me up got tired of me fighting back. You don’t have to win a fight, just make it seem the other lost. Once I got my blood all over the fellow who smashed my nose. (I was going to bleed anyway, might as well put it to good use.)
