Now, that sounds like an interesting economic system. Wonder if the Govt could use it? Oh, wait, they do.

So the scheme is to let the customers win large amounts of money, then to take it all back in a robbery. Is this is just a way to make work for underemployed crooks? Some charity run by One-Eye and his mysterious boss, Big Ace? And the King of Clubs is another innocent victim?

I know Tracy likes to say “crime doesn’t pay,” but this is ridiculous!

…My god, it ACTUALLY makes sense.

Jack can’t risk embezzling from the casino or stealing it directly from the source, so he rigs games to get the money into the hands of people who are far less likely to have security measures in place.

It’s still stupid, but at least it makes sense.

Jack’s embezzlement scheme worked like a charm, just as long as the target kept weeks of winnings in his mattress, or root cellar.

There aren’t that many Bob Oscar Plenty’s out there.

So Jackie would have to count on people not putting their money in a bank or investing it. Stupid…totally stupid.

Guess he wasn’t aware of all the traps that Gertie has lying around her house.

OK, now that they’ve let us in on the scheme that the author(s) had supposedly been planning from the beginning, here’s the deal…

On March 21, Jackie was explaining the scheme to his henchman. Here’s the exchange:

Tons: “Jack, are you sure this plan of yours will work?”

Jackie: “It’s foolproof, Tons. Trust me. It’s so perfect, even the cops will be helping us to hijack our customers.”

So… Even if we suspend reality enough to accept that this plan might actually work, where’s the part where the cops help them hijack their customers?

Dick Tracy Looked younger than he did in the 50s, they must have a lousy pension, for him to be working this long.

So Jack (really Big Ace) can’t steal directly from the casinos (there were more than one). So nobody will ever notice that there were a bunch of big winners AT THE SAME TIME, and they all got robbed AT THE SAME TIME?

    Works for me…

Give BO Plenty money, and then rob him of it? Why, why, why, why oh why? BO Plenty is the only person in the world who wouldnt eaither A) Spend it or B) Put it in a bank. Only an abnormal cartoon character like BO would put it in a bag with a big dollar sign on it and then stick it in his basement.
