Can’t easily figure how he’s talking about HIS profits if he is “leasing out” the Clubs ?

Tigger made a point yesterday which reminded me that on April 5th, Lizz with slanted eyes, looking like a sister of Kim Jon IL was actually barking into the phone to give instructions that “a police watch be put on the Plenty’s home” … as they were in danger!

To digress, this must have been a time when TMS and Locher were trying to land a Chinese newspaper as everybody was suddenly looking very oriental.

Some of us have become accustomed to Locher writing these confusing mini sequences in the strip, apparently to create the illusion that serious police work was taking place. But they really reminded us of “Zero Naught” moments, for thats exactly what they all ever amount to. They never develop into anything.

Easy to remember the “flyer” on that important sounding “Credit Card Scam”, one that by the next day Locher had forgotten that he had planted that “misleading” clue. Same thing with the vigerous effort to get Income Tax returns that Locher promisingly wrote into the strip with the FBI stating that the results would be “ready in an hour”, only it never made “forget-me-not” status. And as observed no patrol cars seemed to bother to drive by the Plenty residence.

And so we will shortly see Tracy driving like Angelorious, car bouncing off the road to get there to save the Plenty’s. Again, no call for back up.

It’s a bit disheartening to realize that these flaky, direction comfused scripts are what is flaunted as serious stories with the expectation that kids and even big men who often sound like “children”, will hail it repeatedly as “superb”, cutting edge work

The sad thing is those sound bites can create false hopes which may be framed like that fat mammary was which we all saw in panel two on April 5th and then placed up on walls at TMS.

A time for Locher to cry, or to quietly smile at how ridiculously gullible some people who should know better, really are ?

Golly, that 2-way wrist iPhone really works; it can read flashback balloons!

Say, did anybody see Cartoon Network’s “Batman” recently? It had a scene spoofing Daffy Duck’s “Duck Twacy”!

First Two-Face, now a Royal Flush Gang! What next, Doomsday?

What Broz and Locher have done is make Tracy look like the village idiot. No wonder Tracyland has crumbled apart. Right Mattie & Jeffie? Following the storyline is like watching Saturday morning’s installment of Moe, Larry, and Shemp (yuk-yuk!). Only they are intended to be Bozo’s.

What would Jackie have done if the people winning had a half a brain and put the money in the bank like a normal person?? Oh, that’s right…we wouldn’t have a story would we? Geez…

The King is conspicuously pointing at his own face in Panel #1. Maybe he is trying to keep Dick Tracy attentive?

Where can I get an awesome hair cut like the King?

From yesterday, mrbribery said: “So Jack (really Big Ace) can’t steal directly from the casinos (there were more than one). So nobody will ever notice that there were a bunch of big winners AT THE SAME TIME, and they all got robbed AT THE SAME TIME?”

mrbribery don’t you remember the CIA man from the last story trying to track down explosions. So, no, they wouldn’t notice.

Didn’t the King of Clubs just commit a homicide?

Assuming he isn’t some sort of undercover cop, shouldn’t one of the other policemen be arresting him?

Anthony - That’s CRAZY talk right there. Of course there is no reason to panic. The guy that got shot (OEJ) is lying on the floor bleeding out while Tracy checks the menu board for the lunch specials.

No Sam, Lizz, Teevo - no one anymore except the bumbling Tracy (or is that Maxwell Smart in disguise??)

Tess is home. Still recovering from getting “burned”.

Anthony, my friend! I think a grand jury would no-bill the King for shooting OEJ, as OEJ had Dickie in a bad way……. he was about to blow him away. It’s kind of like the law associated with CHL (Concealed Handgun Permits), if you catch someone in a life-or-death situation, you can blow the perp off the map. In Texas, if you witness someone committing arson, you have the state’s permission to make swiss cheese out of him (or her). So I think the King is safe.

I agree that would probably be the outcome, Morrow…I’m just thinking that in a real-life situation, that outcome would come from a judge and jury, not the police standing next to him at the time.

Did they at least take away his gun? I didn’t see that, either.

    Why bother !

Riddenslide has a point, Tracy is more concerned with finding out who the King of Clubs is rather than finding out if the shot Jack is alive and needs an Ambulance.. It reflects a shade of calousness to human life like in Baskerville never seen in Tracy until recently.

Akenta’s observation about the CIA Agent looking for the Cyber Bomber is just another irrelevant issue used in the last story which like those I mention in the post above. is just a silly distraction.

What Ludwig doesn’t realize is what Locher forgot to put in the story. That.Jack discovered that they had someone exactly like B.O. Plenty living near all the other Casinos and just as equally stupid, So it made the whole master plan feasible..

If as I once suspected, if TMS wants stories aimed at children (?) you’d think Locher would structure his tales to do so and not do back summersaults to attract mentally retarded ones who will likely, in Mattie mode, applaud any and ALL of DL’s creations.

Was it another Matt that had a dog named SPOT, that went “Bow Wow” every time he saw Chester Gould’s work ? Yes, I think his name was Masterson.

History does seem to repeat itself.
