I’ll REPEAT here again,( like a Dick Locher Sunday page) that the untoward departure of “bassemanbob”, “Grok” and “LelandReport” are a big BLOW to constructive thought on the strip, not to mention the element of delightful entertainment. Already, we sense a funeral drum role for that significant contribution.

What’s worse is that their “earlier” analytic posts (a sort of historical record) have been wiped out senselessly. Say you don’t like the language in which SOME posts are couched, but with the rest, we’ve lost a valuable, “knowledgeable perspective” of the time” with the others. Perhaps all that is Gocomics policy, if so fine, but to this reader it seems counter productive and trite.

Next week on Criminal’s Textbook: the best kind of disguise to wear to defeat those pesky security cameras.

I see the daily advertisement. I am totally confused! WHO is the “dastardly” fellow? Could that word be misspelled? But I am excited beyond belief of what’s to come! Is the MPH initials the villian? INot askin’ Lugwig!)

Oh, maybe the strip will star the tiger starting on 10/4? I know I would keep reading it then.

Why did Grok get kicked out of here? Did he say something offensive? Must be he ticked some1 off… Story looks like it’s starting 2 pick up a little steam, all some1 has 2 do is pick up the ball and run with it now…

As I’ve said many times before…

The modern Dick Tracy strip is so horribly bad, that the only reason left to read it is to make fun of it. If management continues to chase away our best posters, then we won’t have that reason for long, either.

I’ll stick around until October 4, just to see what the surprise is. But, if it’s anything other than a new set of writers, then I’ll probably just delete the Dick Tracy bookmark, and give up on it altogether.

I have a question for Matthew: the 4 october event concern Tracy strip or no? I want only “yes” or “no”.

Sydney, I know you read the strips ahead… I just saw the October 4 strip and didn’t notice anything special (except for the admittedly nice alert about the Tracy statue), did you? :o

WOW ! I CANT WAIT !

All those GREAT things, AND coming in ONE, imagine, just ONE Sunday page !!!!!!!!!!!! (?) “STUPENDOUS” ! That’s the word Chet Gould would have used to described it !

Then, BIG question IS – WHY have we been waiting all of 12 weeks to get there ? Why has Locher had Tracy standing like a statue of JUBILATION T. CORNPONE, wasting months of time, putting out “tit-bits” of BORING stuff each week ? Why take so long to introduce the Villain (?) So long, to get to the “Sugar Plums” that matter ?

Reasonable QUESTIONS ? I’m not Stupefyin’ Jones, I’ll lend an EAR. Any ANSWERS ? Anyone ?

If there is no response, perhaps I’m tone deaf (?), or I’ll wonder if a silencer is at work here (?)

Readers have become a little tired and weary of Locher’s FAKING sequences in the strip, that have NO substance and never seem to materialize. Tess’ Credit Card scam was one. How Tracy collected the Matrix pack yet another and the current “highliting” of the importance of FBI Agent Ennen also seems destined for a similar location.

So, there are questions (?) but I’m confident MPH is NOT giving us a 6 for a 9. Just some polite answers please.

I think just about every “Magpie” on this board “knows” as does the Censor, and remember the Frankenstein one creates often comes back to haunt THEM !

The tiger looks like it understands what’s going on. It has this “they’re playing right into my trap” look on its face.

For trickdacy: I remember this strip realized by Matthew, I have seen already them three years ago on the old Dick Tracy message boards (comicspage.com).

I’m new to this strip – except for when I read it in my Sunday newspaper as a kid (too many years ago to mention); but, whatever happened to Sam, Tracy’s sidekick/partner?

Doesn’t someone have to clear the path of copyright infringement before he starts doing Tracy on his own and posting it on the web? Did that same someone get his cousin’s wife banned, too? J-u-u-u-u-d-d-d-e-e-e-e! Where art thou?

Wow, I just took a look at the “sneak peek” artwork!!! You know, I was planning to begin my Dick Tracy boycott on Oct. 4 (!!!!!!!!!!!!), but I think now I’ll just start it tomorrow and save myself the trouble…
