Or just don’t get them…. Common fashion misconceptions: 1) Makeup makes you look more attractive. 2) High heels make you look sexier. These are both false. I always found that women with no makeup look far more beautiful (makeup just looks cheap even when its put on well – and the effects on a woman’s face after years of it are not good). And women with no or low heels on their shoes walk with much more grace.

And I’m sure everyone who can’t even afford health insurance find this hilarious.

@cdward, my daughters won’t believe that – they think I’m just weird. I had them watch “America the Beautiful”, but it didn’t convince them either.High heels: I always thought it would be funny to have a downward sloping ramp instead of stairs at graduations and such. The girls already look funny walking on tiptoe, but it would be hilarious to see them try to walk down the ramp.

@Cedward, I go out to “working” events with friends once in a while with no makeup, but only because they already know me. I think it is rude to strangers to present yourself in a careless attire or without fixing hair and makeup so that you look presentable. I now often wear completely flat shoes (and have never liked more than 3" difference between the ball and heel of my foot) but I can walk very gracefully in a 1-1/2 to 2" heel even though I’m a senior and it is more difficult to do so in flats (like walking in bare feet, and many slip around on the foot). I now make some of my own shoes so I can fit them better.
