Clayton: I think we've got everything. Katy: After re-packing these backpacks three times, we'd better. Laura: What are you getting ready for? Clayton: I can't believe you're even asking us that question. Katy: The final "Harry Potter" movie comes out Friday, and these backpacks represent the most comprehensive Harry Potter-ticket-line-writing experience known to humanity. Clayton: We've packed chocolate frogs, wands, cloaks...scarves appropriate to our houses. Katy: Well, our budget didn't allow for actual chocolate frogs. These are chocolate chips you have to squint. Clayton: We're behind schedule, Katy! Katy: I'm all set. Gotta go, mom! Laura: ? Clayton: Dad, I can't believe how uncool you're being right now. Adam: You know I normally respect the "law of the line", but it's my computer. I go first. Laura: I think you've forgotten that I have an iphone. Adam: Voldemort!

As further evidence of how tragically unhip I am, I don’t get any of this. Does that mean I’m the last person on the planet who never cared to read Harry Potter or watch any of the movies?

The preparation could take almost as long as the wait in line!

ADAM!! It’s “He Who Must Not Be Named”. And Laura … so cool. You’re in. July 15—It All Ends Here! Sad about that, actually. I’ve read every book and follow a couple of fan sites. Jo Rowling is absolutely my number 1 author and hero.

You don’t have to stand in line to by a ticket online, but you do have to order them soon before they’re sold out either way.

I don’t care how you repackage it – It’s still Christ’s story.Superbly retold though.

A bit confusing but yes that’s the point, you’re expecting them to be in a movie line when the all go over to the computer. In the comics world this type of writing is known as the bait and switch

To those that have not read the books at least. I did not pick up the first until a professor I had brought them up in a class discussion. He had gotten the first book for his son, reading it to him. The professor liked the book so much he told everyone else about it. I highly recommend reading at least the first one.

He is being uncool because instead of supporting the kids idea of waiting on line he is just ordering the tickets online dressed in a fan costume. Kinda funny too, on line vs online.
I don’t care for kid’s lit, I’m a Rings fan. But I know the line standing code and plan to be in one for the Hobbit even though I can oder the ticket from my iPhone. :)

I would wager that there are more of us who have not followed the Harry Potter craze than those who have. I have many interests, but pop-culture and professional sports are not among them.
