I seem to notice a fair number of cat avatars. Some cute ones out there. Where are the dog people? (and yes. Hockey is still playing in June. Just ask anyone from Vancouver or Boston)
As for Doctor Toon stocking shelves- Mike Roe went before some part of Congress to laud the blue collar folk in this country. We’ve gotten lazy about who we praise in our society lately- fascinating ourselves with truly useless ‘celebrities’ and then seemingly looking down on people who are critical to our daily lives and infrastructure. It’s insane, and leads to more baffling ills than we like to admit. So, a toast, please, to Doctor Toon (raising a slice of raisin-cinnimon swirl buttered to a nicety, the loaf from which it was taken doubtless made available on my grocery shelf by many a respectable working adult!)
I toast with plain buttered toast. The shelf stockers we have are wonderful. If you can’t find what you want, get a stock person and they will take you to exactly what you want.
@Hunter- I’m neither cat or dog, but a bird person. My soulmate was an Umbella Cockatoo and since she died I have adopted a sweet little Timneh African Gray- but I love birds in general and hate that some neighbors let their cats prowl our gardens and kill birds!
@vldazzle – I’m not really a bird person. But I do view 3 eagle nests that are live-streaming from the Howard Wildlife Foundation. Also located on Ustream. Boy are those kids getting big. Almost ready to start learning how to fly.

No problem. Not every kid grows up to be a doctor.Somebody has to restock the shelves, or bring the shopping carts in from the parking lot.

Ha! We have summoned Herge with the mystic invocation of the number 6! Now we know the secret. This could be useful when we need a getaway driver.

This explains why grades 3-5 felt like Groundhog’s Day. “Didn’t we do this last year, and the year before that, and the year…”

Its June. The sun is shinning the sky is blue. Our favourite hockey team won last night. School can wait until Sept. – time to go outside and play.
