At least Calvin is old enough to remember leaving Dad’s inner tube at the swimin’ hole.I miss little red and green patches and a hand pump.

Dad seriously needs to join Calvin. I would. Course I woulda helped Calvin with the tire too.

Lewreader you have got to be as old as I am. But, the fantasy world of scripts like Calvin is why I like to start a portion of my day reading the comics. This was a good laff!

Tire swings are cool, unless they get wasps in them. We always used a board until Dad found two old metal seats off some damaged farm equipment. I wonder where those seats ever got to. Oh well, stay cool everybody!

But Hobbes couldn’t have helped. He didn’t even know where it came from.

Maybe Dad is just imagining all of this................Nah.

Calvin takes us all back to the time, when life was full of fun, and no worries.

Apparently so. But then, he’s already aged quite a few years this morning.

You did it again, Dogsniff, you big lug. At least I didn’t call you a big nut. It’s a Goodyear when I see a one-liner every day. Otherwise, I’d be Michelin something. Michelin is really stretching it; it’s almost off the rim.

@Hobbes,Dad might age a bit more if he has to ‘lug’ the tire back to the car and on the car!

Marg: My pot is dark brown and the pattern is more manifold, spirals and others.

This strip reminds me on my oldest son. When he was 1 and a half year old we had no furniture in our kitchen. As wedding present I got expensiv dishes from my mother. I put them into paper boxes and piled up the boxes in the kitchen. Once I came in and saw my son on the top of the boxes, he jumped and cried “Mom, look, how fine!”, I didn’t know, should I cry or laugh! – Nearly all dishes were ruined!

No, but I do remember the babies riding around in Michelin tires. They looked a little bit like Calvin in the 3rd frame.Dad could always put on the spare….

Dad’s voting for adoption right..now.

This strip was utter genius. I miss it so much.

I see Dad is pretty tired of Calvin’s schemes. He’s so pumped up to go to work.

The next question is going to be can he put the tire back on the rim?

Did you ever wonder what would have happened it Calvin & Meg got together?

Calvin gets his excercise removing and installing the tire in the tree. His father gets his walking to work, or at least, the train station. Dad’s co-workers will wonder about the expression on his face when he walks into the office….

I’ve never thought of using this as an excuse for being late to work! :)

I get a little bummed by the fact that it’s so late in the day (6:21pm) and there is so little left to be said. Maybe I should just start staying up late…

Funny how his dad automatically knew it was Calvin!

Calvin must have used a power wrench to get the lug-nuts off. There’s no way he would have been strong enough to do it by hand.
