Adam; One adult and two kids for "Hello Kitty vs. The Hulk." Cashier; That'll be $3. Adam; $3! That's so cheap! Cashier; We felt guilty after we saw the reviews...
if I’m not buying theatre food … I bring my backpack and have candy from the dollar stores, or popcorn from Kernel’s in it. The two theatres I frequent the most are well surrounded by places to get stuff. One is in a mall, with 2 dollar stores, and a WalMart. The other is across the street from WalMart, but less then 200 feet from a Dollar store. hahaha
We usually see movies at a drive-in which shows double feature new releases. Their concession stand is reasonably priced, since they’ve been in the same location for 50 years or so and they don’t have to pay for the gleaming chrome and neon edifice that adds nothing to movie enjoyment. The place is almost always full, and it’s a great place to take your family to see a movie.
@Ladyhawk and Doctor11 You both don’t mention the real reason the prices at the concessions are so high – that is the where the theatre makes the money to pay the bills and the employees. The film distribution companies get the lion’s share of the ticket price (anywhere from 40 to 70% depending on the movie).
For those who mention that the characters don’t look the same, guest artists are drawing the toon for a time due to a surgery. (Read it in comments yesterday but I guess it’s on the home page.)

Around here you’d have to pay extra for it. In 3-D!

I like Ink Pen’s art — the sundays are quite nice — and the kids look good but there’s something off bout Adam

Doc 11: Those employees wouldn’t have jobs if we didn’t drop wrappers on the floor for them to clean up.

Doctor11 – the food one buys in the cinema doesn’t have wrappers then and those are never thrown on the floor?
