If you are going from one part of your property to another… it’s legal. If you got it parked out in front of the Wal-Mart… it’s NOT.

They “attract” quite a following? Once again, this comic is trying to turn something annoying into something endearing. By the way, real tractor drivers usually take great care to let people pass them often enough that this doesn’t happen…but I guess this guy is too busy “attracting” followers.

Farmers, the soul and sprirt of this country! True farmers, not the multi company owned industries, that call themselves farmers.

I seem to remember a guy that drove his tractor 500 miles, to see a brother he hadn’t heard from in 20 years.

The Straight Story is based on the true story of Alvin Straight’s journey across Iowa and Wisconsin on a lawnmower.

I can remember driving behind a pea combine convoy in rural Wisconsin during pea canning season in early summer. Growing up in a rural area, driving behind a slow moving tractor was to be expected.

The first guy behind the tractor looks really mad! ironclownfish is right: something like this isn’t endearing . . . it’s annoying! This same thing happened to us just a few weeks ago. We live in a fairly mid-sized city but still somehow managed to get stuck behind one on a brief stretch of 2-lane road. Traffic was backed up from there ‘til Christmas(!) and it took what seemed like forever before he finally turned off and we were all able to go on our way. He seemed completely oblivious as to what was going on behind him so at no point did he ever considerately pull over and let anyone go by before continuing on to his destination.

Since I retired, I’m never in a hurry anymore!! 40 yrs. of rushing out of the house to get to work on time, then rushing back again to get home on time!! It was all about getting somewhere on time! Now I don’t even worry about it.
