Sadly, this pretty much echoes an experience I had at the old Sears in downtown Oakland, CA last year..

You should of went to Home Depot in the first place.

Oh come on, it won’t kill ya to go to the laundromat once or twice.

Hillbillyman’s comment, “should of went” is indicative of the downward spiral of the educational system.

Customer service is still sometimes this bad in Alberta, Canada. The economy is still good there, so if they lose you as a customer, no big deal. There are a dozen more customers behind you. My friends in Calgary have been trying to get someone to do repair work in their yard, but the workers keep turning the work down.

This “straw man” of Scancarelli is an obvious set of a “Pay Off” joke.I just hope that the joke is funny.

I like the “Energy Star” on the lid. Nice touch.Skeezix looks a little ruffled in panel one (but then who can blame him?)

Also the “Scrub a Dub” script on the washboard – nice attention to a vintage font.

They should try Best Buy. That store will not only deliver new appliances, they’ll recycle the old ones.

Since Joel and Rufus are the only delivery service that goes to Gasoline Alley, getting the new Washer/Dryer “next week” is almost a miracle.

Actually, that washboard will probably still work long after the new machine has gone the way of the one they’re wanting to replace.
