Baa, who needs ‘em. Especially if Lucy’s the one giving the advice.
Yep, he used his brains, connections and friendly advices instead. And still had time for composing beautiful and innovative music!
He did not have Lucy to put up with.
In my paper, the Chicago Tribune, those things are right next to the comics section. So I read ‘Ask Amy’ alongside ‘Dilbert’ and ‘Baby Blues’.

Unfortunately, he didn’t have anyone to tell him, “You’ve got to take responsibility for your own actions.” He figured it out all by his lonesome.
I remember the good old days of “Dear Abby”. At least once a week, her column would include an apology for incredibly bad advise she had given to someone who had asked for help. You could do better at Lucy’s 5 cent psychiatry stand.
