Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for March 31, 1990
March 30, 1990
April 01, 1990
Transcript:
Dad: Ok, we're going. ...and Calvin? Calvin: Yes? Dad: Gckkhhk! Calvin: I think I'll sit in the middle of the floor and look at the wall tonight. Rosalyn: Good. I'll tell you when it's bedtime.
Not to sound rude, but I personally find it hard to sympathize with Calvin during this story arc, and pretty much any other babysitting and Stupendous Man story arc. Calvin clearly knows better than to act the way he does when Rosalyn’s babysitting, or the way he does when under the guise of Stupendous Man. He did something bad last time Rosalyn was here, and now he has to pay for what he did.
Still love Calvin, and still love the strip, but just because you love someone doesn’t mean you have to like them all the time.
