Some SMALL measure of sincerity, but a loooong way to go. Duane has the potential to reform, or else Ms. Foxx wouldn’t indulge him as much as she does; he’s a sexist, boorish jerk because he doesn’t know any other way to relate to women. As Lewreader said, there’s surely no shortage of bimbos out there that he could bamboozle, but his interest in Ms. Foxx indicates that, on SOME level, he senses that he’s been missing something important.
If this were a two-hour movie, Duane would learn about himself by the end (assuming the movie were about them; as a supporting character, he could be a jerk from start to finish). If this were a TV sitcom, it would take a few years, but he’d eventually be worthy of her. But since this is a comic strip (one in which, so far as we can tell, the characters won’t age), the process might take far longer, because Duane serves a purpose in his present state and, once he changes, it’s difficult to go backwards. (I hope Messrs. C, W & W don’t rush it.)
(Of course, if this were REAL LIFE, Duane would probably end up with six ex-wives and never realize that the problem was HIM.)

Testosterone is the only reason most men would have anything to do with most women.
