I don’t know about other women, but my husband-to-be was cheerily working on cars and electrical stuff when we met… the plumbing came later.Over the years he’s done projects on his own, and we’ve done many together. I’ll never be as good as he is at this sort of stuff, but I’m not helpless or clueless and complete projects of my own.As for cooking being easy? It depends on the cook. If you have a passion for it? It’s easy. If you have low expectations (microwave meals and canned soup…)? It’s easy.If you’re cooking for a curmudgeon who’s gruff and difficult to please? It can be Hell.
