Alas, Knute’s thoughts sadly reflect the attitude of much of today’s youth.

I don’t know if we needed today’s strip to drive home yesterday’s point, but Crystal’s still rocking a cute outfit so that’s alright (diggin’ the Halloween colors). Also Knute’s got a point, “Tricky Dicky” was a great deal better than every other Luann music video, even WITHOUT any effort. I mean Luann and Quill worked moderately hard putting together “Hey Boy” and “I’m a Snot” and they were both terrible. It makes me wonder how much better than Quill Knute would be if he were to actually apply himself.

Must say – Crystal is looking paticularly cute today. She doesn’t usually opt for the short skirt. Now – more on the subject – I wonder if some of Crystals work-for-what-you-get attitude can rub off on Knute?

As I said yesterday, I read this couple as a teen-aged version of Luann’s parents— Crystal has a no-nonsense, practical side that we see so much of in Luann’s mom. It’s coming out here, and I suspect that Crystal’s attitude may steer Knute towards something he can actually get excited about— then we might see some sparks between these two.

Besides the “Tricky Dicky” video on YouTube, there is also one called “Luann Woman Is” which features TJ singing and TJ driving around with Toni while Brad is in various sort-of “psychedelic” mindsets. Both of these videos appear to be Greg’s work, and they are both interesting from a few different perspectives:++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++1. In “Tricky Dicky” I am wondering if Greg actually put this video together on his own phone? It has a real “phone video” aspect to it…. somewhat cheesy images, blurry, very limited text.++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++2. In “Luann Woman Is” the video is odd on several levels, but mostly because it appears to make TJ and Toni the “couple” and not Brad. I believe Greg also made this video, but I may be wrong as the images of both Brad and TJ are not the most current ways in which Greg draws these characters, but a somewhat older style. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Any insight others may have would be appreciated.

Everybody knows that this is a comic strip, right? It doesn’t need to be analyzed, its entertainment.

Yeah. They are only in it for the money, and resent having to work for the money. Parents stop giving allowances and they have to find another source of income. They will go through several jobs before noticing a pattern – displeased boss and getting fired. They finally get it and shape up. They have to experience the process.

I don’t know. I’ve been around for nearly 60 years and the people I know who’ve dedicated themselves to hard work have been pretty much spinning their wheels. A lack of morals and ethics, plus the will to screw your fellow man, now that equals success.

You know as much as people are bashing Knute today for his effort. it kind of should be noted that the short and awful poem was the idea of Crystal, who despite being the self-proclaimed poet, hasn’t ever read one that’s been deep or soulful.

Don’t assume “Made in the USA” means United States proper or that anyone in the 50 states made them. Since we administer the Commonwealth of Northern Marianas (CNMI), socks made there by sweatshop labor for about 8 cents an hour can be labelled “Made in the USA”. They’re shipped here duty-free, so you can imagine the profit margin – so Costco may not be as patriotic as you imagine by not stocking goods made in China.
