Luann is lying in her bed, speaking into her tape recorder. She says, "Dear Diary: How do I describe what's happening between Stuart and me? Whenever I think of him I get a weird feeling ... like something pressing deep down in my stomach ...". Luann continues, "Is this LOVE?" Luann looks down at her stomach. Paddles is seen sleeping on Luann's stomach. Luann continues into the tape recorder, "Or just a fat little dog?"
